I believe code CYBER25 is still working til 1/30 or 1/31. This code is 25% off and free shipping. I ordered a few days ago and went through TOPCASHBACK for 12% back on contacts as well. I find Sam’s Club to be best deal (as they sell 27 packs) but this discount beat Sam’s prices.

    • Sara

You find sams club to beat any online contact retailer and or Costco for contacts? I am curious because I’m getting contacts for my first time soon.

      • Rosie

This deal seams better than Costco to me and I always get mine there.

      • Chris

It probably will depend on what contacts you order. I use Accuvue Oasis and last year Sam’s had best price. This year, with this promo code…Walgreens was better. When comparing I calculate per lense…since Sam’s sells in 27 packs, not 24.

    • Kimberly (Stylish Sidekick)

Thanks, Chris! I just updated the post with that code! 🙂

This is so awesome bc every yr I go and get my eyes checked, pay a fee, then reorder my contacts. This time I’m gonna skip a yr and order through walgreens. No examination fee!! 😮🎉🎊😁 btw this feels almost illegal lol

    • Jo

That’s not going to work because your prescription will expire and then you will not be able to order online.

      • Stephanie

Yep. I wish it would work but that’s where they get you. You have to make an appt. To renew your prescription which is only valid for a year. Walgreens will have to contact your eye doctor to verify. It sucks cause its a vicious cycle. I think that should give you at least 2 years for a prescription. People can usually tell if their eyes have changed without the help of a doctor! Just my 2 cents 🙂 and as you can tell this is coming from someone who wants to order soooo bad but my prescription is expired! This is so wrong!

        • Raedev

Oh bummer 😣😔 I didn’t try ordering the contacts yet. Thanks for the heads up!

    • Julie

Raedev I am cracking up! I actually caused quite a stir at my eye doc by doing this (and I don’t care! It’s totally legal!!) 😊

      • Vanessa

I do the same thing. Lol

    • ymac

I always get my contacts from walgreens. Much cheaper than Sams.

  3. Sarah

DISCOVER7 is 30% off contacts and gives me free shipping!

    • Sarah

      Through 1/31

    • Kimberly (Stylish Sidekick)

WOW! Thank you Sarah! I just added that to the post! 🙂

Does anyone know if you can use vision benefits since its from the pharmacy?

  6. 3boymom

I just ordered from visiondirect.com and it was still cheaper. Air optic astigmatism .

  7. MrsG

Do I have to send Walgreens a current prescription (less than a year old) before they ship the order? I’ve ordered from other places online before and they made me email a current contacts prescription less than a year old before the order was approved and shipped.

    • Liz Ob

Last year when I ordered I filled out the form on walgreens online and have them my eye doctors info which they contacted some way to confirm the prescription before they shipped

Go to Lensbob.com, and it will show you the best deal of online competitors. Then shop through enacted and get an even better deal!

Contaclensking or opticontacts.com are much cheaper for topic lenses every time I check.

  11. Ria

Bummer, Bausch&Lomb Ultra never qualify for these promo codes. If you’re prescribed these, go to 1800 contacts, they’re a couple dollars cheaper, plus you can get $60 back if you buy 1 year supply

  12. Robert

Way cheaper with online retailers, Walgreens prices are over inflated. I buy online from places like visiondirect.com and find the online retailer who has a promo code. For comparison after buying 2 boxes from Walgreens with the 25% off and 10 off from Visa I am paying $82 which is the normal price for most of the online retailers (they offer multi-box discounts also) I normally pay $70-$75 for 2 boxes including shipping so this Walgreens deal is not a deal!

If it helps anyone determine a good deal, this is what I recently spent at Costco on contacts:
5 boxes of Air Optics Plus Hydraglide, $204.95. I received a $75 rebate for purchasing a year’s supply, bringing the total down to $129.95, or $25.99 for each 6-pack box. (I opted for a more expensive brand because of problems with dryness.)
Since I’ve been lucky in recent years to have both eyes at the same power, I push them to let me purchase an extra box. I believe even in the past when my eyes were different, I managed to convince them to let me have an extra box beyond a year’s supply for each eye. I agree with other posters that the annual prescription is a racket for a patient with good eye health.

  14. Natalie

I just purchased contacts directly from my optometrist and I am kicking myself that I paid full price (no discounts or anything). I only purchased a 6 month supply and I now just purchased from Walgreens. I am delighted that I saved some money this time!! Thanks

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome Natalie!

  15. CJ

I just purchased these for my daughter (Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism) 2 boxes each eye and with the 30% (DISCOVER7) and the $10 visa checkout discount it was cheaper than anywhere on line. I checked all over on line including the lensbob.com site recommended by Brittany (thanks!) but this was still cheaper at Walgreens because I was only getting 2 of each box (not the 4 that the other sites required to get such a good price). I am thrilled for hip2save and the discussions here so I can make informed choices! Thanks, Collin and gang! 🙂
