So I feel this might be a dumb question but here it goes. For printing birthday centerpiece cutouts is there a certain printer needed or can it be any printer? Because for the longest I’ve been wondering. Still I want a printer for coupons too. Sorry never owned a printer.
Does anyone know how expensive are their ink cartridges? How quickly do you run out of ink with color printer? TIA!
I just searched Amazon for Canon compatible cartridges and bought 40 for like $23! They work perfectly with this printer. It’s a nice printer in general. I print pictures with it using photo paper Collin posted about.

I’ve had this printer for several years and it has been a good printer. It has so many features, several I’m probably unaware of. We have used it for faxing, scanning and basic printing needs. I’ve printed a photo in a pinch and was happy with the quality. I felt the ink lasted a good amount of time until my hubby started using it for printing color documents for work. I don’t know how much he is printing, but it has gone through lots of ink in the last few months. It has 5 ink tanks cli-251 has 4 small tanks (1 black & 3 color) and is about $47 on amazon. The 5th tank is black pgi-250 about $15 on amazon. There is a combo pack with the pgi-250/cli-251 color for about $55. I’m not sure if you need to use both the large and small black tanks, I’ve always replaced all 5 tanks when they are low. As with many printers ink can get expensive, I’ve been tempted to buy generic ink which is about 1/2 the price but haven’t tried it yet. Overall I’m happy with this printer, it has lasted many years and my only complaint it buying expensive ink which seems to be a downfall of many home printers.
