I just got a mandolin last year and really haven’t used it that much at all ( I have an OXO) so this is a great price to try one out. I would suggest you get the gloves too that you use with knives and don’t get cut. I got a pair for 7 shipped on Amazon and that made me feel way more comfortable using it-these things are SHARP and you really can cut yourself before you know it and it will be deep
