Just wondering if anybody else had noticed that when you spend Target gift cards on target.com while using your red card the extra 5% no longer comes off of the portion applied towards gift cards. Noticed tonight, checked old orders and found that an order placed on January 31st did do it while an order placed on February 4th did not.

I hadn’t noticed that, but if so.. 🙁

I noticed that years ago, so the 5% discount is only applied to the portion that is actually paid with the red card.

That’s a little annoying because when you buy giftcards with a red card you don’t get the 5% off right?

I have found that if you earn a $5 or $10 target gift card with a purchase, even though you aren’t using it in that transaction, it’s on your receipt & they lower your amount that the 5% Redcard is applied to AND when you use the gift card it lowers the amount of the 5% (which is normal) however, you’re getting penalized that amount twice. I don’t see how that is fair practice.

Keep in mind also if you use a GC to pay for a portion of your transaction – save that receipt – I’ve noticed they are unable to locate those transactions even if $100 was on my CC and only $5 of it gift card. Also, when returning something my friend used a $50 visa GC and then returned $20 item – her total was like $200 but they would only give it back to her via GC since she used that $50 GC.

I just got a set of curtains (Leah Curtain Panels Room Darkening – Set of 2) for $23 with my Red Card! Had been looking for something with some color for our living room with the long length! Happy Dance!!! 😀
