Use dog tags for your keys. If you lose them and you have a tag with your phone number on it, there is a better chance you will get them back!

I personalize these with my 2/yr old son’s pictures and put them on his backpacks, lunch bags, etc!

I just put a picture of my husband and I and “mom” with my phone number so if we get separated they will know what I look like and my number. It will be useful to have inside a backpack when my daughter is older too.

We have a Type 1 Diabetic kiddo so I made a tag with school picture (front and back) “T1D Insulin Dependent” on the front and my phone number on the back. Going to attach it to a coat zipper.

I made matching tags for my preschooler’s school gear — jacket zipper pull, lunch bag, school tote bag, sleeping bag. Her picture, my phone number.

I love all the shutterfly promos but hate that shipping is sooo expensive for them and they can’t combine shipping on items that aren’t the same. Like the shipping on these dog tags is around $6 – they are so lightweight that the actual shipping cost can’t be more than $2… So you end up paying $4 for an orange envelope.

    • Ashley

I agree with you Emily. I always run into this issue with Shutterfly and hardly ever go through with items that I put in my cart specifically due to shipping costs.

      • Cindy

I also end up not completing orders when I see the shipping costs!

ALL the Shutterfly deals I have taken advantage of have been absolutely wonderful! Great products, and great quality from luggage tags, to address labels, coasters, and Christmas ornaments!!!!!!!! It’s ridiculous to hear people complain about shipping charges when the items are FREE!!!!

    • Kristy

The shipping charges are too high. That’s why

      • Jess

The shipping charges may be high but the quality of their items is phenomenal.

    • Nicole

Agreed Candice! Shutterfly does not produce and ship the items for free. Customers do need to keep that in mind.

      • Emily

I do understand that. I just think it’s ridiculous to charge such HIGH shipping costs. Obviously that is where they make their money. But then you can’t consider the items to be free… You are paying for the items, wrapped up in the shipping cost – like my example above.. You are paying $4 for a dog tag, $2 for the actual shipping (at most!) I use shutterfly a lot, and have enjoyed most of their products (except for a couple that they messed up on and wouldn’t fix for me) but I wish they wouldn’t say that the items are *free* when you are actually paying for them in the shipping since it is way higher than the actual shipping costs!

  6. Jeanette

    thank you!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome Jeanette!

  7. melissa

Shutterfly makes me so mad. I’ve been wanting address labels which are 9.99 so because they are a penny less I can’t use the coupon. So I added $6.99 stickers which bumped shipping up two dollars. Ughhh why would I have to pay $6 to ship two sheets of paper??? No thanks. I always end up backing out of my shopping cart

    • Amanda

      Try code FREELABEL or AFFFREELABELS

    • Julie

Melissa, try uploading one 4×6 print to get over the $10 mark.

      • Michelle

        That’s what I do!

  8. carrie8

Thanks! I got 4 sympathy cards for $1.89 shipped. Always good to have on hand.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re very welcome! Great deal!

For those who do pampers reward thing. Grow on program gives a choice of one shutterfly gift every three month. Get a shutterfly code, it comes with two codes:
    1. free shipping code
    2. free shipping with item code. (e.g., free shipping on address labels)
Make sure, don’t add the 1st code , add only the item code and it gives you a free shipping for you ENTIRE order. (So you get about 100$ value things for 0 cents. Just keep coupons as much you can (like, free notepad, free calendar, cards, prints, 20 off 20)
When you place your first order, then you can add the 1st code, and you will have another free shipping code in your wallet ๐Ÿ™‚ (expires in about 3 month)
    Hope this helps.

    • sab

      thanks! ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Sofia

After you make your first order (the one that lets you ship everything else free), does the second code give you free shipping for everything else again or just the specific item that is for free, like address labels?

      • ENI

both of them give you the free shipping for your entire order. (not only for the specific item)

        • Wen

I don’t quite get it. So if I get the reward for the 6th months, a set of 25 4×8″ photo cards and a free shipping code on the card, I should put the code for the cards into my shutterfly account, then put all the free items I can find into my account, finally put the free shipping code in, then the free shipping will change from covering only the photo cards to covering the whole order? Please let me know. Thanks for your times!

I have FREE BOOK 8×8 20 page hard cover (bought from groupon for 10$), so I will trade it for another gift card (best buy, target, walmart) 10$ value.

I just made an order to shutterfly the other day. When I was done checking out they gave me offers that could be sent to my email. The one I choose was $10 off at Shoebuy.com. I just got a pair of crocs ordered for my little one for under $5 shipped. So, look out for one of those offers after you make a purchase. ๐Ÿ™‚

I love these deals! Their calendars are beautiful quality and the pet tags are cute and durable. I have ordered personalized greeting cards and mugs and have always been so happy with all of my purchases. I never ever complain about the shipping cost because it is so well worth it for what you get! Thanks so much for posting all of the great deals from Shutterfly!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You’re welcome Anna! Thanks for the great review!

  16. Sandy

FYI the Free Playing Cards are such a disappointment. I just received my “free” deck from Coke Rewards and shipping was $8.53. You could buy two Bicycle brand cards for that price. The paper is shiny and thin and I think the first time you shuffle them they will bend. I called customer service and let them know I really love everything else I get from them they just need to up the quality of these! So for now I’d pass on making these. The Customer Service person gave me credit for the shipping so now they were completely free but not meant to be playing a game with them.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Darn! Sorry to hear you did not care for the quality of the Playing Cards. Thanks so much for the honest feedback!

For those of you who like me, hate the shipping costs, just to let you know if you place an order and there’s a shipping promo (which most of the time, but there are dry spells where you’ll have to pay for shipping regardless of how much stuff is in your basket. It’s rare but it happens), and they send it and there’s an error on their part, talk to customer service (I get the most favorable response in shortest amount of time by contacting them on Facebook messenger), and they will not only redo the item, they will usually ship the whole order for free. For example, they goofed on my photobook I got “free”+shipping, so I talked to Shutterfly and not only did they reprint the book for free, ALL the stuff in my order shipped free too. So I had saved up a bunch of their free promos and was able to make one of each “type” or promo category item which in total was about $270+ In merchandise and shipping charges; I didn’t pay a dime. Obviously don’t exploit this and ruin it for everyone, but I thought I’d share my experience. I really DESPISE their shipping rates and feel that if it costs so much to ship custom items they should try to ship using regular colored boxes. I also feel that the rates are unreasonable for what we’re actually getting; ADDRESS LABELS=$1.99 shipping?! Why?! Put a Pitney Bowes stamp on it and move on! I think it’s to recoup some of the operational costs and they DID just layoff a bunch of people so maybe it’s how they stay afloat. I just think they should call it something else if 100% isn’t actually obligatory to ship the items. here’s what I meant about the item categories, I had three 8×11 Photo book promo codes and one 8×8 promo code. These offers all appear under the dollar rewards categories. Alternatively some of these offers could be substituted for $20 towards a purchase of $20 or more. Despite the sizes of the items being different and the projects themselves are different, I cannot redeem more than one of them per order as they conflict. Similarly, if I had a % off coupon that drags down my mandatory minimum purchase requirement it might make me miss my shipping goal and be more expensive instead of less despite initially seeming like I would save more
