Ha she anyone ever tried one of these?

    • Amy

I too would like to know.

      • Elisha

Me too. Seems like a good investment if you have a few birthday parties throughout the year.

We have an ice maker like this (but a different name brand) It was great for camping or when we were outside in the pool. However, it only lasted 6months before it died.

I should have added…that was daily usage. It would be great to have on hand for parties…but, it isn’t a huge tray. I could fill up my three kids water bottles in the morning and empty it. HTH

Thanks so much for sharing your experience!

Does it have to be plugged in? Where does it get the water?

We bought one for our beach house and have used it 3 years now. However it is also a different brand. You add the water with a pitcher and yes it plugs in. It does not store a lot of ice at one time so we dump it and store it in the freezer to put in our coolers and for drinks. We love it.

Great to hear how well yours has worked for you Amy! Thanks for the feedback!

I’ve been looking for an ice maker for a while now. Looked on Amazon for reviews and this particular model is highly rated. Customers even posted videos of their machines in action. This Staples price seems like a really good deal.

      Sweet! Thanks for sharing Veronica!

It is a good deal. I’ve had 2 of these since my fridge ice maker doesn’t work. You have to add water with a pitcher, then I dump the ice into my ice dispenser in my freezer. Mine runs constantly, it’s a different brand, but I love it! I haven’t seen one under $100. Plus if you like to eat ice, it is the best! Weird-but true. 🙂

Disappointed these were gone so fast! I looked yesterday & the link was already gone.

Bummer! I am finding that the price has gone up now 🙁 Thanks for the heads up!
