This may be useful for someone…if you go into an Ulta and an item is OOS (common with sales like this) any manager should offer a coupon for free shipping for Ulta.com It’s a fairly new policy that not all stores are aware of, but might be worth asking. Unfortunately, i think only one promo code is allowed

I’m not sure how new this, but I haven’t heard a word and I’ve worked there for 2.5 years. As Ulta generally does a pretty poor job of restocking product (sorry, but it’s the truth!), I don’t know how they could afford to do this. In addition, it has always been made clear to us that online and in store are completely separate, with the exception of online returns being accepted in store. We can’t place orders for customers and we can’t price match to online prices. I also googled a bit and couldn’t find any info regarding this policy.
Sometimes in extreme circumstances,we can call Customer Service and get them to honor a special deal, but I think I’ve only seen that a half dozen times or so. Not trying to bring anyone down. I just know the frustration when customers push for things that we can’t give them.
I work at Ulta too. 5 and a half years. If your store doesnt have them(should have gotten them a few months ago) you can order them under store supplies.
You can find an AIM task with specifics. They’re the size of a business card and are to be handled by management and kept in the safe.
Is this something that your managers readily give out, or do customers kind of have to push? I’m just curious because I know in my store this could get really out of hand…
