FYI, they do not guarantee these are not registered to someone else’s account or app. If that is an issue for you, don’t order from here because they will not make sellers remove them

    • Raise

Hi Jenn! Our guarantee covers gift cards with missing and innacurate balances. As a member to member marketplace, these gift cards are being sold by other individuals. For this reason, the previous seller may have linked it to their account and forgotten. If this happens, the buyer can still print and redeem the voucher in store. Of course, should an issue with the balance come up, we’ve got you covered.

      • Jenn

Yes, until the guarantee period is over. Yes I know 100 days is a long time, and they should be redeemed quickly, but if that doesn’t happen, then whoever still has the card linked can use the balance or claim it was stolen/lost. Plus they can see transaction history. In my opinion, it is not safe to use a card someone else still has linked to their account on an app.

        • Katie

Yeah, DD would scare me because you’d be trying to track a $50 balance $3.57 at a time. It’s so hard to remember if you should have $35 or $30…or maybe $25 is right? In the meantime, the dishonest seller is enjoying some free coffee!

      • Jenn

        1 year i meant, sorry.

  2. jenn

And, they also now say you shouldn’t even load them to your own account/perks app after purchase and bring the paper voucher to the store.

    • lisa

      Why?

    • jenn

I have no idea. It doesn’t specify on the site and when I called about an issue with one I couldn’t get an answer they just said they are only to be printed and used in store. I have since loaded other cards that were not previously registered by someone else so it still does work even though they say not to.

      • Raise

You are more than welcome to add your DD card to your perks account. We ask that you do not combine gift cards. However, please know that once the gift card is attached to your perks account, it can become more difficult for our team to look into any balance issues that may come up. Let us know if you have any other questions, Lisa!

  3. Sarah

Your post says “through March 10” – I’m confused since it is now March 13!

    • Erica (Silly Sidekick)

I am so sorry about that Sarah – I just fixed! It is actually valid through March 31st.

  4. Katrina

I purchased one that ended up having its balance removed due to fraud. DD froze my account until I called and got it sorted out. I’ve purchased plenty of times from Raise without issue, but will hesitate to do so again. It was a mess.

    • jenn

This happened to us once too. Dd said whoever had the original/physical card first would have been the only one who could have done it. Raise refunded the rest of the balance because it was within the 90 days but we lost the discount.

      • Raise

Jenn, we’re sorry to hear that. Our guarantee covers your purchase price, but unfortunately we cannot refund more than you paid for your card. Katrina, if you haven’t reached out to Member Services, please send your order number to member.success@raise.com and we’ll make sure to resolve this for you.

  5. Becks

Site isn’t working for me & now reading these comments, I went back & immediately deleted my CC info….now to go back & delete my account…honestly, the huge discount sounds like it’s not worth the huge headache…

    • Kimberly (Stylish Sidekick)

I’m sorry you had issues getting the deal Becks. I just tested the deal again and found it to work for me.

    • Raise

We’d love to look into this, Becks. If you could send us an email to member.success@raise.com with the details of the issue, we can resolve this for you. Thanks!

  6. Daniela

I had no issues! Got DD card for $28.70 with promo code plus 1% from Ebates. I will bring the card to DD and will trade in for a real card, just in case. Thanks Collin!!

    • Stefanie

you can’t do that, I tried.

and then when I tried to use the paper print out, it said it was worth $0. they eventually fixed it, but it was a hassle and took several weeks with no communication from Raise. Never again.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re so welcome! 🙂

  7. misti

I bought a starbucks once and it to said not to transfer to another account. I did it anyways and had no problems.

  8. t.cooper

Also you can buy the card, add it your account and then transfer the balance to a card you already have. I’ve done that with no issues.

    • t.cooper

And never mind. DD just did an update on their website and that option is no longer available.

    • Jenn

assuming that card was not already registered to someone else who didn’t remove it. Gah, just noticed your other comment. That sucks because we used to always do this to avoid the fraud problem we had with a card from here once.

      • t.cooper

I was just able to merge my balance to a card i already had registered to me. (Like i usually do). The website is under construction so you cant do it yourself at the moment but you can call DD customer service and they will merge the amounts. I was told in store i could not redeem my paper voucher for a physical card though.

  9. hip2trade

I ordered from them before with no problems but always a little nervous about it.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Thanks for sharing your experience!

  10. Sharon

Raise now has a one year guarantee on all cards! I have had some issues with a few cards but Raise has always made it good. I buy from them all the time and am happy! 😀

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Super glad to hear that Sharon! Thanks for the feedback!

  11. Saranya

Raise is great website for shopping gift cards.Kindly use my promo code to get $5 off first order.Code is: sadaikkap

    Thanks

  12. Jenna

Thanks for this! Got a great deal on the $50 that I can use to buy a couple small cards for teacher appreciation, and a little for myself. Codes worked fine, immediately redeemed and added to my perks account with no issues. Plus used my Ebates to get some cash back 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Sweet! You’re welcome Jenna!

  13. Bethany

Too much trouble to save a few bucks. It’s better to just wait for deals on NEW gift cards not sold through secondary markets. I love saving money as much as the next person, but it’s not worth the potential hassle!

  14. caroline

hi! i purchased a raise card 2 weeks ago emailed the info to my friend, and she was so excited and went to nordstroms. i got a frantic call from her as she was standing with all her purchases and expectations at the register she was told the gift card was stolen. i felt so bad for her and i was also embarrassed. i called raise and they said there was fraudulent activity..i havent checked my bank account for the reimbursement yet and this is a good reminder todo so. i have read great reviews from this site and many others. i certainly would not purchase again as a gift…how tacky is that situation??? the problem is you dont know its fraudulent till point of purchase. happy shopping to all!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh bummer! So sorry to hear about that! Glad you were able to contact customer service for a refund!

  15. Mel

I have purchased many gift cards from Raise. The new one year guarantee is awesome. I have had a few cards (maybe 1 out of every 10) that had balance discrepancies. A quick phone call or email to Raise and my money was back in my account within 24 hours.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh good! Thanks for your review Mel!

  16. Ashley

Oh man, I was gonna browse the site but it sounds like a headache! Thanks for all your reviews guys!

    • Kat

Just purchased the card and downloaded the app on my phone. It was really easy to attach the gift card to the app. It stated the balance is $50. The card is now attached to my app and cannot be removed. I also used a referral link that provided me with an additional $5 off for a future order. So far, so good.

AWESOME DEAL, especially with Teacher Appreciation Week in May. Thank you!!!!
