If anyone has been thinking about buying one of these repeaters let me share my experience. I purchased a WAVLINK which is essentially a non name brand because it was a few dollar cheaper and had good reviews for the most part. I spend hours upon hours trying to get it set up. At one point it knocked all my Wi-Fi down and I had to re-set up my home Wi-Fi from the beginning. I spend more hours again trying to get this thing to work. My desk gets a whooping 1-2 bars so I really needed this to work. I eventually gave up and started reading more reviews on these repeaters. Someone said get a name brand so I went to bestbuy.com to see what they sold.

I ended up buying this TP Link AC750 for $24 shipped (off ebay because Amazon and BestBuy charged shipping) which was only $3 more than the non-branded one I purchased first. It took a mind blowing 5 minutes to set up!! And now I have 5 full bars all the time and I don’t have to reset my router every few hours like before. Its a god send. I find it amazing how the same 2 products could be so different to install and use. I am sure all of these TP LINK repeaters on here are great but in case you want a economical yet effective one, this one works great for me. Here’ s the Amazon link to the repeater I purchased.
