Positive Comments from Hip2Save readers…

I’ve been a member of PineCone Research since February and since then I’ve been able to cash out about $30 worth of surveys at $3 per survey. I definitely recommend signing up and trying to qualify every time because the surveys are fun to do, not very long, you have the potential for product testing, and every survey is at least $3 each AND you can cash them out as soon as the points get deposited in your account (you can choose gift cards, products, checks, or Paypal and 300 points = $3).

Love this company. I have been doing this for about 18 months and have made approximately $250 and have tested several items. Surveys are super easy and don’t require a lot of time!

I enjoy PineCone Research and have been making about $12 a month with them (4 surveys, 20-30 minutes each). Much better than most survey sites! No pre-qualification/rejection dance, If they send you a survey, you get fill it out and paid.

If you’re a current panelist, feel free to share your thoughts!

Love Pinecone! I got accepted last year and have made over $100.. surveys are quick and easy and they only send you surveys you already qualify for. I’ve also gotten products in the mail to test!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Awesome to hear that Jessica! Thanks for sharing your experience!

  2. Stephanie

I apply everytime this is posted and never get accepted…i wonder what they are looking for?!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Darn! Hoping you get accepted this time!

      • Allison

It took me a while, but I got accepted last year. Don’t give up!

    • brdavis55

After over a year trying to get in when they were looking for people & always getting turned down, I put PineCone on my browser & entered EVERY day, not just when they were looking. After about 2 months of trying daily I did get accepted. Love PineCone!

  3. Julie

They are never looking for middle-aged females… so frustrating!!

    • Heather

Not true I got accepted last year, just keep trying

    • Lori

I agree! I was a panel member for a few years, but once I turned 50, that was it. No more surveys from Pinecone, so I cashed out.

      • Lisa

Lori, I’m 52 and I get surveys from them frequently. I can’t say it changed when I turned 50. I have been with pine cone for 6-7 years. They recently changed how they do surveys (a month or so ago). supposedly making surveys more tailored to your needs which to me means less. They do require a fairly quick turn around now or you get closed out. If you miss a certain number of surveys I thought I read something about them not sending as much? Maybe I am wrong?

    • Eva

I was with them from 2007 to 2016. Once I turned 36, the surveys stopped coming. :/

      • Diane

Something similar happened to my daughter. She signed up as a college student and faithfully filled out all of the surveys. Suddenly the surveys stopped coming–I guess she grew out of the demographics they were looking for.

    • Denise

I agree with you Julie! No luck here either and I keep trying..I think I’m done now

      • Jen

I am 41, and still get surveys and samples I have been with them for two years. I do have four children oldest 21 youngest 5.

    • Shawneen

I’m a middle aged female and I am a panelist. Keep trying! I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you!

  4. Kristin

This may be a silly question, but how do you know whether you are accepted or not? Will it let you know immediately?

    • Cece

Yes it tells you right away

  5. sa

I just was accepted a couple of months ago. I get 3 or 4 surveys a week. I really enjoy it. I am just letting the points build up as of now.

  6. Liz

Do you have to be a certain age to qualify?

  7. Melissa

I’ve been doing Pinecone surveys for about three years now. I was accepted when I was 44. I think it’s great! It doesn’t take much time to complete the surveys & every so often they send me new products to try. Every summer I cash out the money & have a check mailed to me for extra spending money for our family trip. 😎

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

That’s awesome to hear Melissa! Thanks for sharing!

  8. Chrissy

I love pinecone research I save all my points through the year and then transfer the money in November to use for Christmas

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

How cool! Thanks for sharing Chrissy!

  9. LaDawn C

I was applying and quit during the process because they were asking me a TON of information about my family. Gender, birthdays, etc….I didn’t feel very comfortable giving out so much information. Is that normal?

  10. Diana

Pinecone is definitely my top when it comes to survey companies. I wish there were more like Pinecone, although I recently discovered this one https://mintvine.com/users/register/3ba933e6416784ffbba9948c8 and so far so good. I just stick with the “survey street” surveys. They are already predetermined if you qualify for or not, and if you don’t they still give you points.

  11. Susi

I’ve been with them over 2 years! Get several surveys s week but have NEVER gotten a product to test and don’t understand why πŸ™

  12. deb

I was accepted when I was 54 and I am still getting surveys and products to test. I LOVE pinecone! !

  13. Rebecca

I accidentally hit No for if I have a smart phone then couldn’t go back…..Doubt I’ll be getting accepted lol.

  14. Melissa P.

I was just accepted a month or two ago. I get several surveys a week and I’ve received two different products to try already! I am loving it!

    • Kimberly (Stylish Sidekick)

Awesome! So glad to hear you’re enjoying it Melissa!

  15. Kayla

I have tried for 7 years now! 😭😭😭

  16. minimalistgal

I did Pinecone back in the day about 15 years ago. I got paid more back then – about $5 a survey believe it or not! I just tried again to join.
Does this mean I got in or not?

“Thank you for responding to these last few questions and completing the member registration process. It will be recorded as complete after you finish with this screen. We will then process this information and, based on your responses, place your name into the queue for survey selection. When selected, you will receive notification by email of your new survey assignment. Thanks for your help, we look forward to being able to include you in future surveys.”

  17. coolrocks

Nope never get in either lol o well its still fun trying

  18. candace

    8th attempt. Still rejected.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Darn! Maybe next time!

  19. Rachelle

I finally got accepted last year after trying repeatedly. I haven’t ever gotten the 1st survey from them. Very frustrating.

  20. minimalistgal

I just got accepted to Pinecone! πŸ™‚ It may be our stats and demographics, income, or the people that reside in our family, but keep trying!

  21. Len

Hmmm… not sure if I was accepted or not. Did a long questionnaire and was told that I would be put in the queue.

  22. Pat

You need to stay aware that the surveys are no longer coming. My brother was doing surveys and they stopped coming but he didn’t notice soon enough. they closed out the account before he could cash out and after they closed the account they don’t have a record of your points so he lost whatever he had with them.

  23. Tiggertoon

Thanks for the info! Just got accepted and completed my first survey😁. FYI I’m a middle aged woman married to a retired old fart, so who knows what their criteria is😏

  24. AnnieL.

I love them!! Got accepted on my first try though, not sure the qualifications. Joined last spring and have been doing surveys for a year. They have sent me a couple products to test also. Easy survey company once the surveys start coming. Saving all my money up from pinecone for a disney trip at the end of 2017 (souvenirs/odds and ends items on the trip). :-))

  25. Sierra

I love Pinecone, it’s the best survey site around. I love how you are qualified for every survey and paid $3 for each one. I just signed up in January and I have close to $30. I’m going to let my points build up and check out at the ends of the year.

  26. LindaS

If you do not qualify they tell you. This is the message I got:
“Thank you for your interest in PineCone Research. Unfortunately, there are no available openings for members with a household make-up that aligns with yours at this time. However we will keep your registration for a few weeks in case a spot opens up. “
