if it is ur birthday you can also get a free dessert! is there a free birthday offer in the restaurant?
Olive Garden guests can receive a complimentary dessert on their birthday when they dine with us.

  2. Jenn

Awesome! Their entrees are so big (we split one for 2 people) this would be like ordering 11 individual meals in our house. Great price for some great food! Thanks for sharing!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re so welcome Jenn!

  3. T

Just received a $100 gift card from my local restaurant. Last take out order wasn’t the greatest. Manager contacted me and sent me a e-gift card!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Oh wow! Thanks for sharing!

  4. Wren

We’ve done this twice so far which has been great since we are in the middle of moving. I upgrade one of the main entrees to get just barely over that $30 mark and I use a gift card from Cardpool which takes off about another $5. 👍

    • Regina

      What is the card pool?

      • Amber

Discounted gift card site (buy and sell)

This is a great deal and I’m always blown away with their customer service and the way they take time to make sure my order is right!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Happy to hear you have enjoyed this deal! Thanks for the feedback!

  6. loudexposure

Can you customize your orders (i.e. Like Panera)…?

  7. Kate

Thanks to you, we used this deal last week while on spring break. We subbed an extra order of breadsticks with alfredo sauce for the kids meal and saved a little more. Every cent counts, right? 🙂 Thanks for the fun deal!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yes! Every cent counts for sure! You’re very welcome Kate!

  8. Em

Question. Can this be done for ALL take out? Or do you have to eat one meal in the store?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi there! Your entire order can be take out 🙂

    • Kris

      All takeout

  9. Katie

We did that 2 weeks ago and it was great! Just an FYI- the “take it to go” meals are significantly smaller and come frozen. It was fine for us but I’m glad we didn’t plan to split them like we would a regular entree.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks so much for sharing your experience Katie!

    • Polly

Maybe each restaurant is different, our entrees weren’t smaller and they weren’t frozen but were refrigerated.

      • Krista

        Same here

We were able to add shrimp to the two alfredo meals…and took two zitis to go…one salad, one soup…and about 8-9 breadsticks bc in the note section I mentioned how the kids LOVE them. Total was $29.
We tipped so went over $30 but we had a meal each and then the soup and salad and breadsticks was lunch for the next day for 2 adults and a child.
Love that nothing gets wasted like it can when we dine out. Saved on drinks and dessert (always order but no one has room for it…)

    • Kimberly (Stylish Sidekick)

Oh WOW! That’s awesome! Thanks for sharing!

One tip I have from ordering an easy meal is if you want fettuccine alfredo, just buy the sauce and cook the noodles at home. A cup of sauce is like $5 while a pan of fettuccine is around $30 last time I checked. You can even add on chicken to throw into it and still come out way better.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Thanks for the tip! 😉

  12. Chick106

I am wondering, when it comes to take out, do you tip or no? If yes, how much?

    • ash

It is up to you if you want to tip or not.

    • SJ

I personally tip 10% for to go orders (I normally tip 20% for dine in.) Someone still packages all your food and bags it up for you. I know some restaurants pay their to go employees differently (more than the $2.13/hr that servers normally get) but that doesn’t deter me from tipping the 10%.

    • Amanda

I always tip on togo. They do just as much work as a server for you, take the order, get it all together, bag it, and have it ready for you when you get there.

  13. Jill

How long are these codes typically valid? Thanks!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Code 5OFF30 is good through April 30th 🙂

  14. Jenny

Has anyone tried freezing the “take one” meals? It’s just me so there is no way I could eat all 5 meals in a timely manner but would love to have a couple in the freezer for the next couple weeks while I am in the moving process.

    • Dana

The extra meals come frozen so you should have no trouble freezing them.

    • Amanda

They are actually refrigerated, but you could freeze them easily.

  15. Crystal

When do these two deals go to?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi Crystal! The BOGO deal is for a limited time and code 5OFF30 is good through April 30th. Hope this helps!

  16. Sue J

Buy one, take one just said no salad for 2nd meal…so 2 entrees and 1 salad….boo.

    • Sue J

Disregard…I misread your post…but I did order for lunch tomorrow…yea!!

  17. Cindy

Is this regional mine didn’t come up with one free

    • Amanda

Did you ask for the buy on take one? You have to order it or you will get the normal dish. You dont automatically get a free one with out ordering it, the price is like 2.00 more for the boto.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Did you order through the Buy One Take One offer link above? You will have to start your order from that special to make the selections for each meal. Hope this helps!

      • Cindy Wiskur

Yes I did and it says buy one get one but it doesn’t come up that way darn

        • Cindy Wiskur

Ok it worked it shows it on the order itself . You have to read your order . My second ones don’t have a salad . I guess we can split or order a couple and use the 5 off 30 code

          • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Glad to hear it finally worked for you! Thanks for the update! 🙂

  18. Heather

Thanks Collin! We are in the process of a military retirement move and this is a great deal! 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Super glad to help you grab an easy meal! You’re most welcome!

  19. Jill Hagglund

when ordering online it didn’t come up with a free meal….am I doing something wrong?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi there! Did you order through the BOGO link above? That should direct you to the options for both meals. Hope this helps!

      • Jill Hagglund

Oh, thanks!! I was just trying to order it as you normally would. thanks! 🙂

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh good! Happy it worked for you Jill! YW!
