Got 2! Thanks so much. These are great for the summer or school lunches. I may put in an Easter basket 😉

    Are these good and leakproof?

    • momo

Yes! We have 2 for my 2yr old. She’s dropped them quite a bit from her high chair & they are still in brand new condition.

      • Rose

Yes! It is leakproof as long as you place the silicone insert correctly, which is very easy. I tend to tug on the mouth piece of the straw outward to make sure it is snug. When it leaks, I find that it’s often my fault!

    • Erin

Thermos says they are, but there was some kind of civil suit involving them.

    • Norah Fallat

If the top if open, it pours out the straw! 🙁 Worst water bottle I’ve bought…

Pink and purple is same price but in stock now 😊

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh awesome! Thanks for the heads up!

Best thing ever! I forgo sippy cup and went from bottle to this. I play the straw game…pretend I am drinking from a straw and say ahhhh! Baby copied and eventually drink from the straw. First gave him 20% milk thru this and then eventually 100% milk of his daily milk from the container. Be aware of teething as they tend to chew on the straw. We still used our original two today at age 5. Keeps milk or water cold in hot Texas! I feel like I saved so much money not having to buy all those sippy cups. Also I give to these as birthday gifts!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

How cool that this helped with transitioning from the bottle. Thanks so much for the feedback!

      Wow!! Was this recently?

Hi! Has anyone tried Pottery Barn Kids Mackenzie water bottles? Are they as good as Thermos brand?

    • Jen

I have both, and very much prefer Thermos. I have 7 Thermos and 1 McKenzie, and I will never buy another McKenzie again. Very poor quality and PBK did nothing to fix the broken cap we had, thus rendering a useless water bottle for lunch without a functional cap.

      • Rose

I found the thermos are better. I purchased the whole backpack, lunch bag and Mackenzie bottle ensemble last fall because my favorite niece wanted a matching set and I obliged 🙄! She started kindergarten. I found it not as “heavy” made and the quality is not there. Plus my niece ended up using her old thermos regularly throughout the school year! So much for a matching set! 🙄

        • Rose

I asked my niece why she is not using her “purple butterfly water bottle” and she said it broke last Thanksgiving…not even 3 months! It’s good that you can engrave it but quality is not there. Just buy thermos and label it with a demo labeler!

          • Rose

She is still using her thermos since I gave it to her at age 3. I recently brought new straw and silicon stopper replacement at Target as 2 sets for $4.

    • Jennifer

Marie- out of 4 on bottles I’ve had 2 break. They don’t replace the tops- and they broke very quickly- 1 bottom one top. I have had tons of thermos ones and never have I had any break. Some are over two years old and on hasn’t even made it through the school year. Def go with thermos!

    • Shannon

I have both also. Neither has broken but the thermos one is easier to clean because the plastic parts come out easier. Pottery barn has cuter designs tho.
