Wow. What if you have a big family?

    • rebecca

we have 4 kids, plus me & my husband, and we took our brother with us also, and it was an easy-going experience. no hassles, no problem using the offer. we all had entrees, desserts, and drinks. staff was pleasant and it was easy to redeem our meal costs against our furnishing purchase.
when we were going through the line to get our food, they did tell us that leftovers or to-go boxes would not be allowed for this deal, but there was no mention of a limit to number of family members on the check.
with 7 of us, our meal tab was pretty high. we bought a couple smaller items that totaled over $100, and that was also no problem (in other words, we did not have to buy one large item.)

Thanks so much for the insight. It’s a relief to hear it was a pleasant experience. I come from a pretty large family, and personally, would love to try the other things on the menu.

There is nothing better than Swedish meatballs with that special sauce … love IKEA!!!

  5. Jean

We did this the last 2 times they had the special! My kids thought it was so fun to really get ANYTHING THEY WANTED! It was fun for me to try things that I hadn’t wanted to splurge on before (ie desserts). Our bill came to $78ish and when we purchased our furniture the employee told us “Good Job” and then said she doesn’t understand why more people don’t take advantage of it (people that are there buying over $100 worth of stuff anyway). It was fun!! They have them fairly frequently so we decided to “make an IKEA list” and wait until free food days to make purchases!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

How cool! Thanks for sharing your experience Jean! Glad to hear you have enjoyed this offer!

  6. Dawn

What’s an IKEA family card?? I don’t think we have any IKEA family card???

    • Ashley

Great question Dawn! I have the same question! And if it’s a free sign up and we sign up in store tomorrow can we still take advantage of this deal? Or is there a waiting period?

    • Candace Parker

At our Ikea there is a kiosk just after you enter, and you can sign up for the family card, and it will print up and drop out right there.
