Anyone know if my almost 4 year old would be able to participate? Or is Toys R Us super stringent on age? He loves LEGO and does well with building the classic size.
My son has gone since he was probably 3. I think it’s because legos aren’t recommended for younger children because of the choke hazard, just a warning the put. We’ve never had any trouble getting him a set. We don’t usually do it there though, too many people and loose legos.
I have taken my three year old daughter, along with my seven year old son to a few events. She has made sets to take and I have never had a problem with anyone saying she was too young.
These are somewhat cool and yes I know they are FREE, but I miss the lego builds a couple years ago where you would actually build something out of more than the “puny” pieces! The captain america one this past summer was awesome, so I guess it’s hit and miss. It’s just hard I would this to host something like this with teeny pieces!
Took my just turned 6 and 3 year old and had no questions/trouble about age(s). They each were able to get a set that we took home to build. Too crazy to build in store with little ones.
Happy you could grab it for them! Thanks for sharing!
I went to the beauty and the beast ones last fall, I also did captain american. the line was tiny maybe 5 people ahead, went an hour after it started. The last few times I went the line was out the door!!!!! So I now arrive 45 min early and wait in line. It’s hard with 4 little kids too. I wish these sets were pre-packaged.
Thanks for sharing your experience Amy!
Has anyone ever done a mega blok build at toysrus? Is it just like the lego? Or does stuff come pre-packaged? Fingers crossed mega bloks uses their head and has stuff pre-packaged.
