A little off topic… But I’m looking for a twin mattress for my son. Does anyone have any recommendations for a nice quaility mattress from amazon??? Thanks!
I was looking for a pillow…I went crazy looking on Amazon…too many choices (even though I was looking for a specific type and shape), prices and mixed reviews. Probably a month later I still hadn’t purchased anything. I was also concerned about where it was made…a lot of the items I found were made in China or didn’t specify. Finally, I checked Costco, all 3 choices were made in the US, and then I ordered 2. Long story short, if Costco or similar store with return policy is close to you, maybe check them…you could always try it and return if it fails to meet your expectations?? Mattress-wise, we went with a sleep number and then added a memory foam topper. Soft or firm, you can always change it. HTH
I purchased a Nature’s Sleep foam mattress for one of my sons in 2012 (with a Groupon, though I see they also have it on Amazon), and could not be happier with it! I have had occasion to sleep on it several times, and it’s better sleeping than on my own bed. It has held up really well for 6 years, and feels like it’s brand new– no compression issues or anything like that. One tip: if your family tends to grow tall kids, I’d suggest that you get the twin XL version, so your child won’t outgrow it so soon. I wish I’d done that initially when I bought ‘big-boy beds’ for both my boys when they were 3 or 4 years old. They are both now over 6′ tall– not surprising, since both my husband and I are tall. If I’d been thinking ahead back then, I would have gone with the longer twin XL size at that time, rather than have to repurchase a longer bed ‘only’ 15 years later. Live and learn!
Just got a Queen mattress for my 5 year old daughter ( luckily little girl I know 🙂 ) but we purchased hers from sams club. Great prices and just like the other individual mentioned Costco that would be the same exact reasons I would suggest sams Club. I would check out Costco or Sams club 🙂
