Target Shoppers!

Did you know that the Target Cartwheel App just increased the limit of offer spots from 34 to 50?! That means that when you are adding Cartwheel offers to your list, you now have more room to save more offers at a time. Woo hoo!

You will likely see this announcement as soon as you login to your Cartwheel account. Otherwise, click on the “badges” section to see the “End of the Rainbow” badge detail explaining that you now have access to all 50 offer spots!

(Thanks, Ben!)

Yes I saw it today while I was at Target about to checkout with my cartwheel. Woo-hoo.

  2. Julie

But all my hard work!! 😂 I was so close to the $2500 badge! 🎉

    • Heather C

      WOWWWWWWW! That’s impressive!

    • mindy

I’m sad that all my work/badges/savings that earned me advantages of having extra spots is gone. They leveled us all down. Bummer!

      • Liz

I completely agree with you! I am at a little over $1300, I was just thinking the other day that I wish they did more badges so I could earn additional spots….. but now instead of “working hard” to “earn” more spots, everyone gets the same amount, no matter what they put in for work…. hmmm

        • Mel

I liked earning the badges too! It was an accomplishment getting one unlocked and opening up additional spots. Wish they could have left the ones we already earned!

  3. Irene

And I thought I was special😂😂😜 now if only I had the perks lol

  4. Leslie

    I know! I’m at $1600! I was enjoying this!!!
Now all spots are unlocked? :/

  5. SJ

I had no idea these “badges” things even existed.

  6. Jennifer

    Hmmm.
I didn’t even know this was a thing.

  7. Lisa

I JUST got to $500. Sigh

  8. susan

    I was almost to $1000.

  9. Evan

I too thought I was special after I hit $2300 this past Sat. lol

    • Heather C

      You ARE special, regardless! 💗

      • Evan

        Ahhh thanks Heather. *hugs*

I’m pretty new to Cartwheel…can someone let me know how many cartwheel’s you can use on a transaction? Is the limit 6 different cartwheel’s per day with 4 of each product or can you use all 50 different cartwheels if you wanted to?

    • cooper

it’s 4 items per Cartwheel with 6 transaction per day…so really the limit can be 24 cartwheel items per day.

    • Gretchen

You can use all 50 in one day – each one up to 4 times in one transaction, and each one up to 6 transactions per day.

  11. Irene

You can use all 50 if u wanted to

    • Kirsten Gorski

So what does this mean in the fine print?

Each Cartwheel offer may be used for up to a maximum of 4 qualifying items per offer per transaction, unless otherwise noted. Limit of 1 Cartwheel barcode per transaction and 6 Cartwheel barcode transactions per day. I wondered about the 6 cartwheel barcode transactions per day? What does that mean?

      • Gretchen

You can only use your barcode 6 times a day – you have your own barcode no matter how many times you add and remove items, I suggest you print it out and keep it with you incase your phone dies 😉 The 1 barcode per transaction just means, you can’t scan your Cartwheel (CW) and then also have a friend scan their CW in your transaction for extra savings – just one scan per transaction – but you can use all 50 in one day – each individual one up to 4 times in one transaction, and each individual one up to 6 transactions per day until the deal expires. HTH!

        • Kirsten

That does help. So if I want a deal and it’s a limit 4 in a transaction I can do that same deal and get 4 more in the same day but in a different transaction? Sorry for so many questions.

          • macycarew1

Yes, here’s an example: say you wanted a tv and right now LG tvs are on cartwheel, so if you wanted you could buy 4 tvs at a time in one transaction. Then you could repeat that again 5 more times that day so you would have 24 tvs by the end of the day. Sometimes items have a lower limit to how many you can buy at a time, like Lean Cuisine was several weeks ago, in the fine print the limit was 2 per transaction. And some items the limit doesn’t apply at all. Like produce that
Is weighed. I work at target, give me a shout if this doesn’t help or need pro tips for using cartwheel or coupons specifically within
            Target.

            • Jessica

I’m actually wonderI got if that’s truly how it works. I recently did the totino’s deal that had the limit of 4/trans. First transaction I bought 3, and it applied the discount to all of them. Next transaction I bought 3 more, but it only applied to 1, bringing it to a total of only 4 discounted, even with 2 transactions. It did the same thing with the Suave hair products.

            • Jessica

Ugh, sorry about the stupid auto fill errors, lol

  12. Candace Parker

I am excited for the 50 slots, but I wish they hadn’t deleted our badges. I liked them. Maybe they could have kept the badges without tying them to unlocking spots? Oh well, makes it easier to save, I guess.

  13. Nicole

Is this permanent, or just temporary?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      It looks to be permanent.

  14. Monika

Was I the only person that had no idea Cartwheel was kinda like a game and you unlocked stuff. I learned a lot today …

    • MomOf4

      Same here.

    • Mel

LOL. You never looked around the app? There’s a bar at the bottom of the screen that says Me. When you click it, shows how much you’ve saved, your friends (if you linked up with FB, any FB friends that also use CW you can see how much they’ve saved and what offers they added/redeemed) and Badges. Everyone started out with 10 or 12 slots when you signed up. And as you unlocked badges, it opened up more spots in your cart. There were badges for earning once you reached $100, $250, $500 and higher in savings. There were Christmas badges I earned from shopping on Black Friday, badge for getting $10 in savings in one transaction, a badge for adding an item from a friends list… now all those are gone and just shows End of the Rainbow.

  15. Linda hibdon

I had 54 spots , do I’m kind of disappointed that I lost spots . I know I will never use all of them at one time but was fun collecting the badges and earning more spots .

    • Carla

I had over 50 also and was close to unlocking 4 more with the $5,000 badge. I’m really disappointed. I loved the prestige of having seasonal ones that weren’t available anymore and showing others how to earn new ones.

  16. Kathryn K

Thanks for the info. Weird they didn’t tell us ahead of it changing.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome!

  17. dorfmunder

I was bummed because I loved the badges. Seems silly but they were really fun!

  18. C.D.

I had no clue about any kind of “badges” which is a good thing because I might have rode the whole cartwheel thing off if I had. Not a big fan of crap like that. Saving should be made simple which is why I love Hip2Save so much.

    • Kim

Same here. When stores try to complicate things with points and crap you have to earn, it completely turns me off.

  19. Nancy Jurkiewicz

    Too confusing.

  20. diane

Did they also get rid of the leaderboard?? It usrd to show how much i saved in comparison to my facebook friends. I don’t see that anymore.
