They asked for the link to both the walmart site and home depot site showing the product. They agreed to the price match for 2 of the Tide detergents. I ordered and she stayed on the chat to do the price adjustment when I gave the order number. Thank you for the suggestion!!!
I just attempted to pricematch with Walmart and was denied because it is a “flash sale”. I guess it depends on who your Walmart customer service rep is
My rep (Liliana P.) told me it was one price match item per customer per day. Not worth a trip to Walmart for one bottle of detergent.
Don’t waste your time ordering from this sale. Everything I ordered got cancelled. Very sad when you order at 6am when everything is in stock and then people who don’t work get to go to the store whenever they want and buy the max limit. Maybe they should have put a limit of 1 on each item so everyone gets in on the sale!
Maybe next time buy the day before an price adjust on the sale day/ pick up
mine didn’t get cancelled.. mine still said being processed from 7am when the tide showed in Stock so I finally called and got the we are sold out sorry and online orders are not guaranteed.. then why offer online to pickup in store..
I think it’s unfair to say “people who don’t work and can go to the store whenever they want and buy the max limit. ” I get the disappointment, I am in the same boat today with mine getting cancelled. But I don’t hold a grudge against anyone who can be there first thing in the morning to take advantage of the deal. Maybe you will have success trying the Walmart.com suggestion above? My point is people who don’t work have flexible schedules and when I placed an order when the store opened at 6am I feel like my ordered could have been filled, but when you cancel it at 1:00pm?? Maybe they should have made it in store only and not offered it online then!!! Especially since I was just getting one to give others a chance at the deal. Keeping it fair for all vs buying 10!!!
Technically, if you look at the Home Depot ad and not just go off of what H2S has posted here, then you’d be able to see that the Tide IS an INSTORE only offer. Yes, I also saw it posted online, but if it’s stated as an instore deal, you can’t really get mad if you didn’t get lucky enough to have your online order fulfilled ijs.
I work *and* I have a flexible schedule, but I didn’t get any, either. I didn’t want to order so I went to the store and it was behind the desk for all the orders coming in. I was *there*–shouldn’t I have gotten first dibs? I decided to go back to the aisle with detergents and see if any was left there. Two employees came back with their price checkers to fill another order. None of the remaining bottles were the right ones. If they had been, do you think they would have given them to me (and/or the other customers who were standing there looking for it) or used to fulfill the orders? I can’t imagine why they privilege online orders over customers in the store; after all, isn’t the point of deals like this to get customers in the door who will theoretically buy other things, not just loss leaders? Thanks for inspiring me to email Home Depot about this. I didn’t really care all that much but the entitlement of your post astounded me.

I know plenty of people who work and have odd hours or work jobs that require night and weekend shifts which means they’re off during the day time. There are a very large number of working people who don’t work the “typical” M-F 8-5 work week. Just something to think about.
I was able to get price match by placing and order and having it delivered to my home. However, Walmart’s price matching policy states one-per-customer, per item, per day.
So I could only order one.

When you have the tide on the home Depot page, give them that link.. they need to see the item description and price. I was able to get 4 shipped free
When I tried ordering online, my store also said ‘out of stock’ on many items. However, I needed to go in to Home Depot for a few other things; and many of the items listed above, including the Tide, were fully stocked. I was able to pick up everything I wanted and more sale items.

My Home Depot didn’t let me use my military discount on the tide but still a good deal even without it.
Staples and Walmart both told me no price matching because home Depot does not have it available in stock on their website. So they wouldn’t price match.
I called the my store and the clerk said there only limited quantities left. So, I quickly drove to the store and bought 2. I also got the Charmin tissues. There was only 5 left and the couple after me took all of it. The sales clerk are so amazed by how it is selling like crazy. He said some people are buying the limit of 10!!

I went to the store for the Tide to use coupons. I picked up what I thought was the right Tide. An employee asked if he could help & I asked if there were any on display somewhere else. He said No. All are gone. He checked the 1 I had & it wasn’t the right 1. I started to walk away & he called me back to say there was 1 at the return desk. I got it for $7.97!

I would have suggested for those that live around Buckhead Atlanta to go to the Home Depot at Piedmont road but that would be a bad idea. Part of one of the highways just collapsed because of a huge fire so there is traffic all around there.

They shouldn’t advertise a one day sale and not have ample supply. Our store in Ohio had 10 at opening so think about it…there are thousands living in that area and they advertise a one day sale WITH A 10 LIMIT ON THIS ITEM.. what the hell.. It would be ok if the ad said 10 per store but that is not what it said…
I’m in AZ and bought 2 containers of Tide. There was only 2 left but the manager walked over with 4 more. He told me that they started out with 156 (?). This was about 1:30p AZ time.

I just went to Wal-Mart and price matched two of the Tides detergent.
They only had 10 tides in our store and with a 10 limit they fraudulently advertised something they couldn’t provide. SHAME ON YOU HOME DEPOT. So you guys know..these ads were printed 6 months ago so they had ample time to stock the stores!! MAKE IT RIGHT HOME DEPOT~~

Well none at my store which was ok cause i went for charmin. However i saw a better deal 30 double rolls for 10.98. At checkout they rang up 18.98. I told the cashier what the sign said. She gave me the 10.98 price said it was market wrong so I got a huge pack of charmin. Home depot was good for me today. I wanted to say could I grab another but didn’t want to push my luck.

I went in after I saw this post. Everyone there had at least two tides in their carts. I grabbed 6. I wanted to get 10, but then I felt greedy grabbing the 6 I did get. So there was still about 10 left. Yay for laundry soap!
I had a great experience at my HD. I placed my Tide order early yesterday morning. I checked the site all day and it said my order was being processed. This afternoon I received a call from the store manager stating they over sold what they had in stock. They said I could either wait until they get some in next week or they could offer me one of the other Tides in stock for the same price. So thankful their management team made it right!
I also went to Home depot for the tide. All the bottles in the store were behind customer service desk saved for the employees. Customers never had a opportunity to purchase the Tide on sale. Big Scam for us. This was Home Depot on Dallas Hwy, Marietta Ga.
I found out something last year. You can write reviews all day long on the internet about a bad store experience and the store can just ignore it. If you file a complaint with the BBB, it stays on their record. A bad mark against them. So when they scam us with bad or phony ads don’t hesitate to do a report on the Better Business Bureau. It will get someones attention.
