    Do they have sitting fees?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Nope! I find “No Sitting Fees, Ever” to be listed on the coupon when clicking through! ๐Ÿ˜€

What do you think we will spend on this free photo?

    • Cathy

Nothing if you dont buy more photos. Sometimes they have a free photo with a purchase but this one doesnt. I’ve gotten them before with no purchase and you dont spend a penny and theyve always been very nice

    • M

      Its free?

Good deal. But not in my city๐Ÿ˜”

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Bummer!

Don’t go to Picture People! The photographers are not allowed to tell you about coupons. Only the packages and you most likely will not be able to use any other offer with this deal. Call to confirm. Plus you have to buy the Groupon deal (if you want it) 24 hours prior to the session and can not use any other promo. And they only keep your session photos for 24 hours to pressure you into buying more. Horrible company! You are better off calling around for a mom with a digital camera to pay her for a session.

You know women who are not moms can use digital cameras as well ๐Ÿ˜‰

I would have to agree with Liz! Bad customer service…I went there last Christmas and they knowingly took family portraits with a broken camera. They tried to hide the fact that the pictures were over-exposed and blurry until I said something. The manager would not allow photographer to retake the pictures but told us to come back 4 hours later. With a three year old that is impossible. I emailed and tried to call corporate but no response. Also went in October for Halloween and this January for birthday pictures but bad quality lighting and posing. I gave up on them! Yes…find a local photographer please!

Oh Darn! So sorry to hear about your experience Rose ๐Ÿ™ Thanks for sharing!

I really like picture people. You can almost always get a groupon for $16 (or cheaper if there is a promo code) which gives you a whole folder full of photos. Local photographers in my area seem to be $150 or more and they only give you digital images so then you have to go print them yourselves. I love walking out with my photos that are ready to be handed to family members. We even had a bad session with cranky kids and they offered to let us come back the next weekend even though the groupon was going to be expired.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the feedback! Good to know!

    • Rose

Yes, I like Picture People before. I took my child there every month for the first 12 months and at least 4 times a year after the first year and they took great pictures…in fact one of them is one of my all time favorite picture! However, there has been great decline since they filed for bankruptcy and closed most standing locations in the malls. The only ones are now in Sears and Buy Buy Baby.

We’ve had nothing but great experiences with Picture People. Our local one, the photographers are amazing with children getting fantastic photos – much better than the JC Penney Portrait studio near us. We have photos with them at least once a year and always use coupons. Most of the time we only spend $10 and they don’t mind at all. We will use this one and get the whole thing for free – thanks so much for letting me know!
