I can imagine what the cashier will invent to not give me this deal

    • elaine

Very good point. It seems all stores everywhere are restraining use on legitimate coupons.

    • Amber

Make sure you bring the coupon rules with you.

    • Kristy

      Lol

    • Mel

I didn’t have any issues, the cashier scanned the coupon and it automatically took off $2.49! I got 4 Free then submitted to Ckout51 $0.50 wyb Mentos Now (Limit 4) for a $2 MM!!!

  2. NjD

It seems like I’ve had the hardest time using coupons lately at a lot of different stores.

    • rosana

Walmart is the worst, if are printable and dont scanned they wont take it. Dislike walmart

      • Mary Quezada

Went to kmart for the 1.50 M&M’s bought 2 to use my coupon 1.50 off 2 and they wouldn’t take my coupon cuz it wouldn’t scan. Manager said if it doesn’t scan they can’t take them! Good bye kmart!

  3. JP

CVS policy allows this without a problem.
My wife and I did 2 transactions and only paid 30 cents tax between both transaction but redeemed it for $2.00 at Checkout51, (50 cents each, limit 4).

    • JP

Fyi, no male icons for our comments or did I do something wrong? I am the couponer at my house, my wife doesn’t have the patience for it.

      • Allan

        Yeah!!!!!!!

  4. Kathy

I did this yesterday with no problem, there is also a Checkout 51 rebate up to 4 products, so it is actually a $2.00 moneymaker.

  5. rosie

Do they have to adjust it manually or does it work just scanning the coupon?

    • lisa

It works they just scan the coupon and the coupon the max is $2.49 so than. The receipt will print you pay nothing. Your total is $0.00 WooHoo than submit to checkout 51 to get $2.00 if you buy 4 or $1.00 if you buy 2.

  6. JenniferS

Has anyone tried the orange Mentos mints, how’s the flavor?

    • Diana

      Grosssssss!

  7. Ainsley

    I did this today.

FYI the orange is not like orange tic tacs. I thought it was disgusting and chemically

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Darn! Thanks for the honest feedback!

  8. Cori

I purchased these mints, the citrus flavor , a while back they were awful. Reminds me of medicine . The other flavor may be better but I won’t be purchasing the citrus again .

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh bummer! Sorry to hear you did not care for the Citrus flavor! Thanks for sharing!

  9. Jen

I did this deal and I actually ended up with a balance of -.98 so I threw in a bottle of dish wash soap and owed .01 and then submitted to checkout for $2 back. Love it!

    • Venkat

I am new here. What is SS coupon. Where can I get the coupon please.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi there! SS is for the Smart Source Coupon insert found in the Sunday Paper. The coupon listed above was in the Sunday paper on 3/26. Hope this helps!

  10. Kickstart

They did NOT honor this deal at my local CVS. They said there was already a BOGO sale on and could NOT be combined with a BOGO coupon

    • Mel

Print the coupon policy. It states very clearly –
Can I use multiple coupons on sale items?
Yes, for certain coupons and certain sale items. Examples:
Suave shampoo is on sale for $2.00 Buy One, Get One Free (BOGO) and the customer purchases two shampoos; the customer may use two coupons for $1.00 each and pay the applicable tax.
Suave shampoo is on sale for $2.00 BOGO and customer has a mfr. coupon for Suave BOGO. Customer will receive both items for free but will need to pay any applicable tax.

If you still have trouble, try another store.

  11. Anna

I did this deal yesterday, they only had the orange flavor.

  12. Gina Berio

This deal does mot work, per CVS new coupon policy. Both items cannot be free, one must be purchased. Store manager told me this himself.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

So odd, as I still find that the CVS Coupon Policy will allow.
҉ۢ Suave shampoo is on sale for $2.00 BOGO and customer has a mfr. coupon for
Suave BOGO. Customer will receive both items for free but will need to pay any
      applicable tax.”
