We have this and LOVE it!

What age wold you recommend this for? I have a toddler who will be 2 in July. Should I get or wait until next year?

      • Heather

Wait they will not be able to use for awhile. I have this it is a waste of money. Loud, the motor has to run the entire time, it uses lots of water. If you want the shower to go and the slide to stay wet you will need the water to run the entire time. It is a pain to dry. if not dry completely it will mold. I have 4 kids ages 9, 6, 4 and 2. The older ones have no problems but the younger one has no interest. Also the water is cold my kids don’t like to play in “freezing” cold well water and in order for the water to get the super chill out the motor has to run the entire time until it warms up a bit. Also if you do not have tons of storage space dont get. it needs it.

My 2 year old used this last year. She went down the slide several times, but largely enjoyed the sprinkling pool area. This year I think she will use it even more. I think this slide is great fun for kids 2 – 13. I say go ahead and get it 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Awesome to hear that Lindsey! Thanks for the great feedback!

My Dad bought this last summer. It was a huge hit! The kids were 3,4,11 &12. A 2 year old could sit in the bottom pool area, (but then You’d have to make sure older kids aren’t flying into them) but I wouldn’t have let my 2 year old climb and go down the slide alone. It took my 3 year old a bit of courage and help to get the hang out it.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks so much for your review Kara! Glad to hear that the kids enjoyed it!

I ordered one a couple of hours ago and just received an email that Kohls cancelled my order because they have sold out. Bummed.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh bummer! Were you grabbing it for in store pick up? I am still finding it in stock for shipping as I click through. Hope this helps!

  5. Tracya

We bought this last spring and it was a huge hit!! I watched the prices close last year and the price today is $40 lower then the lowest price I saw last year 😉

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks so much for the feedback Tracya! We sure do appreciate it!

  6. Keri

We bought this last year and it got a hole in it after the first couple uses. I do agree, it’s really hard to dry out and we got some mold spots. My kids loved it though so I am trying to debate whether or not to buy it again….

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks so much for sharing your experience Keri! Sorry to hear it had a hole in it so quickly 🙁

  7. Anderson

Got it.. I’m pretty excited as we’ve been really thinking about getting this. Finally pulled the trigger and decided to get it. The kids are in for a big suprise! Can’t wait to show them!

I bought this online last Friday and thought that was a good deal. Now this is even better! I called customer service and they credited me the new lower price! Gotta love Kohl’s.

We got this last year and I agree with all the other buyers comments. We waited and researched and we concluded that for the price this was the best pick. Yes it does take a lot of water but I think it’s easier maintenance then a blow up pool. My best advice is get in there once a month for the summer and spray it down with a mildew cleaner. But in the end I can’t say how much our kids (and of course all the neighborhood kids) love it. It occupied them all summer and they are asking for me to put it back out this summer.

Avoid this one, it is designed with multiple inherent engineering flaws that make it dangerous. Bottom line up front: there are two major deficiencies, 1- the slide’s angle and degree of entry into the water pool is too steep and results in individuals hitting their tailbones during use, 2- the climbing wall is too steep and does not have a cushioned buffer step to prevent injury.

The climbing stairs required to use the slide is also at an extreme angle (near 90 degrees), making this slide difficult for individuals under 8 years of use. And even if your child can successfully climb, you risk the fact that they could slip and fall straight down and injure their ankle or leg. The slide does not have an inflated “cushion” to brace against falls like the other water slides do (like sidewinder falls).

This slide is currently under investigation by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and the parent company “MANDLAY Toys” is currently in negotiation with CPSC on recall, and consumer refunds.

    You’ve been warned, steer clear.
