My plumber once told me that these are horrible for the toilets. He said they are “flushable” but they do so much harm to the pipes. He told me that every time someone has issues with the toilet not flushing right it usually has something to do with these wipes. Also the kids flushable wipes are the same. My kids used to use the wipes and we stoped using them because if that. Our house is new and it was only 1 year old when the plumber told me that. My husband is very annal about draining cooking oil, bacon fat, meat fat etc down the kitchen drain so when I told him about that he wanted nothing to do with the wipes. But that’s my experience, maybe other people don’t have issues with them.

Our plumber said the same thing. These wipes shouldn’t be flushed. But since you shouldn’t flush them, the reason to use them instead of baby wipes is eliminated. We just buy the baby wipes and throw the used ones in the trash. Much cheaper.

You should never put any kind of grease or oil down your drain. It will solidify and cause problems. A plumber told me never to use drain cleaner. He said to pour straight bleach down drain. Give it about 30 minutes then flush with hot water.

We had toilet plugging issues for the same exact thing. We have banned flushing any wipes at our house:)

Wipes are a must! Teach everyone to throw them in the trash and not flush. No problems and a fresh, clean tushie!

    • Ann

Does anyone else find the picture amusing? 🙂
While I bring baby wipes for hands/face when I’m going to the beach with kiddos, flushable wipes aren’t high priority in my beach tote. And who puts their watermelon in the sand?!

  8. Maria

Does anyone know how this price compares to Costco? Thank you

    • Rosi

Hi Maria, Costco has 632 wipes for 15.99 online (10 pack + 2 travel packs); makes them .025/wipe. But the warehouse price is usually less, my warehouse typically has it for about 11.99-12.99 and I bought them to try when hey had a $3-$4 coupon.

      • Maria

        Thank you!

  9. Lel

Don’t know about costco but I find this to be pricey. I buy Walmart, Kmart or Harmon store brands for less.

  10. Rachel

Hmmm… What are your thoughts on taking these camping for a quick wipe down when there is no shower facilities?

  11. Maori

My plumber found a huge wad of wipes in our pipes. These should not be marketed as flushable.
