(Thanks, Freebie Radar!)
Cool, thanks! We were going anyway, my daughter’s birthday was a few weeks ago and we’re going to pick up her freebies.
Oh perfect! You’re very welcome! Happy belated Birthday to your daughter!
I went last week they say there is a shortage on the free plush. No one has any in stock. But they have plenty of books.
Thanks for letting me know! I can give her a heads up. 🙂 We also got a $3 off $3 coupon in her bday email, so we’re going to use that while we’re there too.
How does this program work? Do I need to sign my child up to reserve a spot?
No, first come first served. I recommend arriving 30 minutes early. The line at mine usually goes to the door. You have to dish out your own pieces. For some reason this is very challenging for some people.
Crowds vary. Last 2 we went about an hour late and both times there was only one other family by then.
My store makes the kits but I suggest building there cuz it’s usually missing pieces.
We always go to these at my local TRU (Raleigh, NC) and sometimes we’re the only ones there. 🙂
On the birthday club- i rcvd an email w/certificate i had to show them in order for my daughter to get a book and plush. It’s very cute though 🙂
Thanks for the heads up Diana! Good to know!
Is the birthday club monthly? Child’s birthday is next month, should I wait?
You need to sign up before hand with a TRU reward account, and they’ll mail you a birthday card with coupons (if you sign up before they regularly mail them out). So, sign up NOW!
If you’re already signed up for your child’s birthday, then wait for their birthday card from Jeffrey/Geoffrey. They do the “party” at the start of every month, I think. I’ve never gone; I usually stop in with or without the kids.
