Pair it with star dashes or other bonus stars and you’ll be getting free drinks! Last weekend I had to make purchases 4 days in a row for 175 stars. This weekend it’s make 3 purchases for 100 stars. With 5 kids who like frapps (but who saved and are splitting ventis for even more savings), I’m padding my free drinks very nicely. 🙂

      Love it!

Is there a way to get them less sweet? I love the taste of the midnight mint mocha but it is overwhelmingly sweet!

    • La

Yes there is, you can either ask for more frap roast (caffeine) or less pumps of syrup but keep in mind the syrup is where the flavor is so I suggest you try it with 1 more pump of frap roast instead. This way the barista will use less milk and it’ll balance the sweetness.

Or throw it in the blender with a little bit of milk and you’ve got two instead of one. Then it’s really 75% off 😜

        • Jane

hahaha I love that suggestion! Frugal too! It really can be made into more than one and still have enough sugar!

    • Kharrington

Ask them to make it with Almond milk, that cuts the sweetness by a lot. I think.

      Thanks everyone!

Just letting everyone know who uses the Starbucks app to pay for their purchases that the app is having issues when scanned where it ends up charging your account for other people’s purchases so please check your purchase history and look for charges that are showing from location “Summit Ridge – Tagaytay”, a location in the Philippines. The barista at my local Starbuck’s said it is happening all over the country. I had over $15 of charges that weren’t mine just in the last few days and my dad had over $30 worth of charges that weren’t his so I just wanted to give everyone a head’s up to double check your purchase history if you are paying with the app!

Thank you for the heads up! I can’t stand scams.

    • Amber

Yup one in Germany. I live in New York. Thanks. Will be calling tomorrow.

    Pokémon frap?!?

    • Diana

Yes. They had it for a limited time I was told. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to find one Starbucks that can make it for me. Lots of them haven’t even heard of it 🙁

      • kharrington

You can tell them how to make any of their drinks. Starbucks has a list of secret drinks you can at any time ask for. If they don’t know how, pull the ingredients up for them. A manager could also help.

My family had them for dinner. I just came home from vacation and didn’t feel like cooking. I threw them in the blender with a couple of egg whites and called them smoothies. Through away all the evidence! My father-in-law said it was sinful. I hope he doesn’t ask me to make it for him anytime soon 😂

Glad I hate coffee. Yuck yuck. Save me some money. Lol. I have never wanted or need caffeine. I’d hate to get addicted to something. There are 5 starbucks up the street from me. The one has a line of cars wrapped around the store every time I drive by. What is so funny. These stores can be seen from each other. They are literally steps away from one another. I think they should build another one. They must put something in there to get people hooked. Good luck all the Starbucks lovers. Have a wonderful day.

Consider yourself blessed to have never needed caffeine! As a full time college student working three jobs to pay tuition and the rest of my bills, I definitely need it to get by some days. I brew it at home for just a few cents per cup instead of purchasing it from a coffee shop, but to each their own!

You don’t like coffee, but you are on a coffee post? This is huge savings to coffee lovers everywhere.

      • Amy

My Mom and Dad love coffee. I watch deals for them. I just don’t get the addiction. I like the smell of fresh brewed coffee. I just hate the taste, I also hate how it make people’s breath smell. But I guess that is my problem lol.

    • a.rich

Hey Ann good for you but nobody cares! This is a post for people that enjoy not addicted too but actually enjoy coffee!

With the mobile ordering, can you be specific on the time for the order to be ready. We enjoy the fraps, especially at 50% off but my hubby doesn’t speak “Starbucks Lingo” and doesn’t dare to order lol.

  8. dealhousewife

I don’t like coffee (AT ALL), but I love hot chocolate and the mocha (with cream base) & fruity frapps! I even managed to make Gold (2nd year now too)! My husband Loves coffee and still hasn’t made Gold. lol. & we only load money to our apps when there’s a deal (like buy $10, get $10 free, etc). also, hubby works from home some days and on those days he makes his own coffee, with an Encore grinder and an aeropress – he LOVES it.

    • LindaS

Dealhousewife, I’m curious where you find the buy $10 get $10 free? I saw Collin’s post the other day about the Groupon Starbucks deal but I wasn’t able to buy it. Thanks.

      • dealhousewife

There are deals offered from time to time, from different places. I think the b$10g$10 was around christmas time, offered by starbucks. you could send $10 to someone and then get $10 for yourself. (we sent it to each other) or there have been Groupon deals (they vary, from “load $15 get $5” or load $5, get $5). I’ve done a Visa Checkout deal for reloading my card before too. I hear about a lot of them from Colin’s posts. 🙂 HTH
