   (I’m a first-time mom). This is a nice deal, and I bought a similar model for my newborn at $30, but I returned it because my pediatrician recommended against this kind of thermometer, recommending instead the axillary or rectal thermometers for more accuracy. Just thought I’d share to perhaps save someone else a few steps…

   Thanks got one! I already have a different brand electric thermometer, but I wanted to have 2 so that I can cross check them when my kids are sick.

   I bought this last time you posted the deal, and it works great! I’ve heard mixed reviews about the forehead thermometers, but I double checked the temperature against a few other regular digital thermometers and it matched perfectly but takes way less time to get a reading! I highly recommend. This thermometer also has an ear option as well as the forehead.

  I second what Megan said! I got this thermometer last time Collin posted and it works great. I actually used it just this morning on my 8 month old. His temp was 101.6 and it beeped and turned red showing that he had a fever. (I think it does that on any temp over 100F.)

   I just ordered this. My son was in the ER last night with a 105.2 temp. I use a basic one to check rectal but not that he is over a year old and doesn’t sit still – I thought this would be much better!
