Anyone else with boys that finds it unfair to pay double to get a rash guard and trunks set and for girls two pieces are still same as one piece for boys(dong get me wrong if I had a girl I would find this deal awesome!)? Same with boy clothing in any store is an eighth the size of girl section. Sorry it just wondering if I am the only one who has noticed and is bummed. Thanks to the Hip2save team I still find outstanding deals that keep his closet full! Thank you!!!!

      Agreed!

I’m bummed about that too, but I guess there’s more material in the boy’s sets so it would cost more. But generally I find that boy’s clothes cost more. The sales are always better for girls than boys both in store and online. How odd.

    • KB

      Yes, I noticed the same.

    • Melissa

      I’ve noticed that too.

    • Cristine

I feel the same way. It’s hard to shop for boys, I even have trouble finding good deals on boys toys as well.. 😕

Moms, any reviews on these sets? Specifically the girls ones? I know the Rash Guards at Old Navy received poor reviews because the bottoms were saggy and the tops were see through (uh, whyyy) so wanted to make sure these passed the Mom-test before I bought.

I haven’t purchased these yet this year but this is my favorite place to buy girls sets. With that being said the tops are always tight and the bottoms are always loose. Extremely frustrating but still better than other places we have tried.

      • coolrocks

Agreed .. I’ve bought several sets last year and the tops were snug and the bottoms were loose

    • Alex

We’ve had some from here and they’ve been great

I bought from Crazy 8 last year for both my kids, girl size 5 and boy size 2. The boy rashguard was fine. I was not happy with the girl rashguard. It faded quickly, and dirt and such do NOT come out of it. It is permanently stained and you can hardly see the seahorse design on it. I expected higher quality from Crazy 8. This year I went to Kid to Kid and bought secondhand swimsuits for $1-2 apiece on a one-day sale.

I didn’t buy last year, but I have always like the girl suits (toddler). This will be my first year buying from the older girls dept. The white suits were always double lined. This helped, but sand always got embedded in the layers and never came out causing it to look dirty or moldy. And what’s with all the white options and not more designs for rash guards? Kids get dirty. The one colorful top rash guard set sold out immediately a few weeks ago. And it hasn’t been back since. I think it depends on your child’s body type too. Mine are pretty slender and the tops fit just right and the bottoms were always ok. One was a little loose once, but nothing major. I’m curious as to the new sizing (S, M, L vs 4, 6, 8 since I last bought a suit here) if it will affect how these suits fit my little girl. I’ll try and report back once I get my order.

I wait for these sales each year! 🙂 Totally agree about the boy sets too. Also wish the girls rash guards weren’t mostly white. Um, have you seen how kids play in sand?

    • Lizzie

They are really well made too

  4. Stacy

I bought two of the rash guard sets for my daughter and the tops are see through. I would not buy them again.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh bummer! Sorry to hear that Stacy! Thanks for the honest feedback!

I missed the $8.88 sales last year so I didn’t buy them. I notice the sizing is different now. S, M, L, etc instead of numbers. I bought a few shirts a few months ago and went with a M instead of a S. They are very loose on my newly 6 year old. I don’t really like how they span a few sizes now. I didn’t want to have a too small suit so I went with a M. There aren’t any brick and mortar stores around me anymore. Crossing my fingers it’s not huge. I have always liked their quality for suits in the past, but maybe they have changed in the last two years. I know their jeans sure have 🙁

Can I combine coupon 20% off and free shipping. Thanks

  7. Katie

I bought these last summer and for boys they run small. My son wears a 2t normally and a 3t barely fits.

  8. Julie

Ordered a real pretty yellow toddler bikini. It t will be perfect with the monogrammed towel from The Disney Store that Hip2Save had a few weeks back. My Grandbaby is going to be… styling! Thanks!!

  9. Kimberly

I’ve gotten boy sets from TCP for a lot less and so far they’ve held up well. I have four boys. Also, Target usually has some decent sales once the season starts. I’ve found Crazy 8 clothing tends to run larger, but I’ve never used their swimwear.

  10. Amber

Is the swimsuit sale only online or in store as well?

  11. Cristine

Got one for my little girl. Hoping the for works ok, if not I may have to dust off my sad seamstress skills. Thank you for the great deal!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome Cristine!

  12. Juliette

I bought 2 toddler girls swimsuits, a pair of shoes, 2 pairs of tights, a headband and a pair of mittens shipped for under $40! Thanks so much for posting the deal Hip2Save!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re very welcome!

  13. Carmen

Thank you! My daughter needed a new rash guard and this is an awesome price. Too bad I waited until this evening to order though–only XL left in the mermaid suit. She picked the one with the heart instead–super cute!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome Carmen!
