I tried a price adjustment the other day for an item that I just ordered and hadn’t even received in the mail yet (2 day shipping) and they wouldn’t do one. Just a heads up!
If that is the case, I will return & re-purchase
If it was sold by Amazon, that’s against their policy. I’d contact them again.
My understanding is that Amazon will only price match TVs. I’ve tried requesting a price match in the past and they said no citing this policy, “Amazon.com consistently works toward maintaining competitive prices on everything we carry and will match the price of other retailers for some items. Amazon.com will price match eligible purchases of televisions with select other retailers. For all other items, Amazon.com doesn’t offer price matching.” You might get a nice CS who’s willing to bend the policy but that’s been their rule for about a year now
Cara, it’s not a price match, it’s Amazon’s price change that she needs matched.

I had this happen around Christmas with the Echo – they would not do a price adjustment. Luckily it hadn’t shipped yet due to the high demand around the holiday. So I cancelled my original order and create a new one.
I just asked for a price match with Staples.com and I haven’t received my Dot yet (bought it on Friday). They already processed the price match adjustment
I ordered one on the 17th and contacted customer service this morning. The told me they will not adjust the price. They would rather pay the roughly $17 to send this one back and ship another. Seems ridiculous to me but so be it I guess

I think you should get one. I think it’s no different than having a cell phone or computer in your home. If you have something that the government wants they will tap in either way.
Yes I think so too, having a cellphone is as bad as anything else!
We have two, a white one and a black one. The black one seems to work better. We’ll be in the same room with the white one, literally two feet away from it, and it won’t hear us but the one 40+ ft away will. My kids love to ask it for the weather forecast. I also have a Tap. The Dots have to be plugged in, because they have no internal battery, unlike the Tap. Their speaker isn’t the greatest for music, so I got an inexpensive bluetooth speaker that I use for music when I’m cooking or cleaning.

My 3 yr old just saw this and said, “that’s Alexa.” (We gave one to the grandparents last Christmas) He said he would like an “Alexa for kids.” I asked him, “what would you do with it?” And he said he’d, “ask her to play music.” Ha!
