Has anyone used the service yet? Do they honor in-store sales? I noticed they have listed 1 dozen eggs for $1.99 but I know they are on sale in the store for $.69.
They set their own prices, so they won’t honor the store prices. Sometimes they have certain windows of time where they do, but that’s it. However, they do have their own coupons through their app, so you can save that way. I LOVE using their service because I am so busy, and our grocery store is packed on the weekends. I also don’t give into the tempting treats or impulse buys, so I end up saving money that way too.
Can the Groupon code be used in combination with your $10 off first order code?
AFAIK Instacart doesn’t do coupons. Read the FAQ which talks about how the pricing works on different stores.
I have used Instacart and it was great, so helpful after an injury. They will even bring the groceries inside your house for you, with your permission. The prices are a bit higher and the service fee in my area is about 10% of your purchase. I won’t use it all the time, but it’s great when I’m working late and can’t carve out an hour to shop for my family.

When you go to checkout, it gives you a small box that says “edit” next to the service fee….click that and change it to ZERO! That service fee is NOT required and it does not go towards the driver for a tip. This is so misleading of instacart so we are all trying to spread the word!

DId I do something wrong? Is this a monthly subscription service? or did I sign up for something else? I received an email stating that after the 14 trial days, if not canceled, I will be charged a full years fee = $149.00……
Jess, that may be because you signed up for free delivery for a year for a fee, you don’t have to do that necessarily. I would definitely call to cancel that after your first order, or sooner since everyone gets free delivery on their first order.

Yes I ordered earlier today at around 2pm. I used the groupon code “discover” and paid $11 ish for then redeemed it at instacart. I went over by $.18 + taxes.
It won’t let me checkout with out signing up for free delivery for a year which is $99? And I never ordered from them before!

That happened to me as well. I signed up for the yearly subscription thinking I had too. I followed Heather’s advice (above) and immediately cancelled. You can cancel online with no trouble.
In my area, Instacart includes Total Wine!
I also did the free year trial and received an email from them sayin:
We hope you enjoy access to unlimited free deliveries over $35. Your 1 year free trial began on May 31 and will end on May 31. On June 1, your membership will renew for a full year, and you will be charged the $99.00 yearly membership fee. You can cancel your free trial anytime from your Express Account page.
Heads up: there is an interface glitch between Groupon and Instacart, so the Groupon voucher code is not deducting the $40 from your Instacart order total. I called Instacart (what a pleasant, professional CS rep.!) and was told I’d need to place the order at the full amount, wait until delivery, then call to get a refund of the $40!! Said I would not do that, so have not completed the order. Groupon live chat was absolutely NO help.
Same problem here, I emailed but haven’t gotten a response. It’s a pain and wish I didn’t buy it.

Same thing happened to me. When I called they said they did see the $40 coupon applied and after delivery I should see it deducted. If not they would manually do a refund. I’ll see what happens once my order is delivered.
