I also found a loadable coupon for $5 off your grocery bill on a $50 Visa or Mastercard. It basically will cover the activation fee they usually charge for the card but you can get points for something you can use anywhere.
The 4x deal doesn’t work on “financial” cards or Kroger gift cards.
From my experience it does work for the cards that have a set amount in this case $50. Not the reloadable ones or the variable ones though.
For those of you that have a Discover credit card, most Lowes stores sell Kroger gift cards. Right now Discover has 5% back at home improvement stores. Purchase a Kroger gc at Lowes and use it for other gc purchases at Kroger. My Lowes and Kroger are very close, but YMMV.
