Thanks so much!!!! I didn’t know about the free $5 with giftcard purchase!!! Yay!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re very welcome Kate!

  2. Amy

Last year I scored so many deals. This year I didn’t buy one thing

    • Darcie

      Same here!

      • TAMARA

I did diapers and wipes. Lol
Still on fence about the echo.

    • katie

I am with you on this, there was nothing that I actually couldn’t live without. I ended up buying a $25 gift card to get the additional $5 free, but that was it. I was so on the fence with the Echo, but I could just see so many things go wrong in my house with it that I didn’t bother. It is bad enough that my 6 year old can get on my Amazon tablet and order things with an easy click.

  3. JULIA

Just a little tip for the Xbox One: I got this deal for my kids. They had a Playstation 3 for which Amazon gave me an extra $50 for trading it in! They credited my account instantly, so I could use the $50 to get the new console!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Awesome! Thanks for sharing your score Julia!

I was so excited for Prime Day but this years deals were pretty disappointing, nothing like last years deal. However, I shopped through ebates and found some amazing deals at other stores.

    • sarah

Yes! And I’ve seen lower prices today on some things I was eyeing, and unfortunately on something I bought.

  5. Nichele Bergmanis

Disappointed this year with the deals. Not a one I really wanted.

  6. Lisa

Some deals were hit and miss and there wasn’t enough of the good stuff (i.e. Under armor) to go around if you weren’t quick enough. I did notice things I’ve bought months ago were double the price (amazon water proof mini speaker)for prime day. I did go to Walmart today and scored some good deals there. Oh well you win some you lose some. Thanks Hip2save for being on top of it!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome Lisa! 😉

  7. Shanshan

Looking for a real laptop that is not a chrome book… The selection is a joke.

    • Amy

Same. My niece is heading to college and has a tight budget so I’ve been trying to help her find a deal. No luck so far

    • B

Dell has some pretty good Black Friday in July prices going on right now.

  8. Michelle

Yeah. Disappointing after all the hype.

  9. Carla

I ordered quite a bit. I’ve been wanting the Echo so I was happy with that deal. Really disappointed in the number of gift cards they had available. Tried for 4 different ones at the second they became available and all were gone already. I was also super annoyed that their site couldn’t handle everything. I got a lot of black screens. I don’t think it was simply traffic either. I have over 100 items in my cart that I keep an eye on the price of. Every time I went to my cart it would refresh itself so I couldn’t click on the box that takes you to the price changes that happened in your cart. I could have missed out on great deals from regular price changes in my cart. It’s working now so i feel like they did something to disable that feature yesterday.

  10. Sheila

I spent $150 at Macy’s and $2.98 on Amazon. Macy’s had much better deals yesterday for my family.

  11. CJ

Same here, I didn’t buy a thing (my wallet thanks me today!). This weekend I bought tons… Their sales leading UP to prime day were WAY better than their sales ON prime day! I appreciate hip2save posting them all because I was finding them hard to find yesterday.

  12. Tricia Russell

My best deal was $150 for $775 handyman services – must have been a glitch because a 40% discount came off twice… perfect timing to do some work we need done.
I also got the $25 Amazon gift card. Still waiting for the $5 bonus.
None of the items I’d hoped for were discounted (Fitbit, Tojiro knife, some Instant Pot accessories)

  13. Shelby

I agree, last year was so much better. I did get a couple things but it wasn’t like the deal was unbelievable.

  14. Rebecca

My kids needed new tablets so I was happy to get a good deal on those & also the Echo, which I’ve been saving gift cards for. And the kids book deal. Last year I think we got an Xbox bundle & a few little things. Much happier with this year!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Happy you could score the savings! 🙂

  15. felishhlivecom

I wanted some 360 cups. A week before prime day I scored two for less then six dollars. Then go prime day they had them on sale for 12.99. Nope not a deal at all! Excited for the instant pot but mostly the deals were not good.

  16. Meliza

Oh my goodness. I got one thing, that I was debating getting all year because I hate paying full price for things. It was the 23and me genealogy kit. It’s always priced between $200-$250. I got a lightning deal for $99 on the kit. I checked out so fast when I saw it. It should be arriving tomorrow I can not wait.
