Staples offers a 110% price match guarantee!

Yes, it’s true! If you find a currently available lower price on a new and identical item, just show the Staples cashier or an associate at the customer service desk the lower price when you buy the item at Staples and they will match it plus will discount it by 10% of the difference.

And if you purchase an item from Staples and tell them within 14 days that you found that item at a lower price in their stores or online at Staples.com, they’ll refund the difference!

*Check out more details HERE.

Please note that if items will be free or better than free after the 110% price match, Staples will only honor a 100% price match to the competitor ad. Also, you may be required to purchase a $5 minimum on penny items if you are price matching to Office Depot/Max 1¢ or 10¢ items.

This means that you can take this week’s Target Weekly ad AND Office Depot/OfficeMax Weekly ad that have lots of great deals into your local Staples to price match AND score even sweeter buys!

Kroger is offering $10 off when you buy 2 staples gift cards totaling $50. 😊

    • Jen

      Thanks for the tip.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Cool find! Thanks for sharing!

    • Aim

Sorry forgot to mention that its digital coupon.

  2. Candace

I did this on a router that was cheaper elsewhere and got a lot off. Then I could use Staples discounted gift cards.

  3. Susan

I went looking for the 50 cent mechanical pencil 6ct at Staples on Monday and could not find them. Employee also could not find them. Ended up discovering it is actually a 12ct as Colin has in the picture above for 50 cents! Must be a misprint in their ad.

  4. Robyn

Do you have to have the paper copy of an ad or can you show staples the electronic copy/price on your phone?

  5. Kelli

My Staples in Northern Indiana will not Price Match back to school items. Anyone else have this issue?

  6. Marie

I did not even think about the Target match ups. Thank you for the reminder!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome!

  7. Julie

Ok, so basically this means I can circle all the stuff I want in various ads, go to staples and buy it all for the sale price in whichever ad(s)? Time saving awesomeness!!!

  8. Melissa

Do any stores do the free back pack after rebate anymore. It was a while back I did that but my kiddos need new nice quality backpacks. TIA!

    • sarah

Although you are looking for free I think the best deal is “investing” in an LLBEAN bookbag. We got one for my son on sale and you can exchange it when it wears out. I think we only spent about $20 for the largest bag they have. He picks out the one he wants and if you have a store near you than you can exchange it in person. We haven’t needed to purchase a bookbag in years. Also the lunch boxes are great-we used a coupon code and practically got it for free.

      • Melissa

Thank you for you suggestion!! I’l look into this. I son’t think have a LL Bean store so I would have to mail it in when it wears out. Very good idea though! 🙂 Thanks again!! 🙂

    • Yolie

      Same case with Lands End!

  9. Llaminator

Thanks! I was able to get the Elmers glue for our homeschool co-op at a great price!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re very welcome!

My Staples refused to price match. They said this was an Office Depot extreme deal and because there was such a large price difference they wouldn’t match. This was the cashier and manager.

  11. Monique

@leslie I don’t know how much of a big deal you would want to make over 50 cents but I think that it is ridiculous if you’re going to have a price match guarantee in writing that everyone can see they need to honor it…I would go back and ask to speak to the store manager not “a” manager which could just be the manager on duty or the district manager or someone at corporate. If a company is unwilling to do price matching deals don’t offer it. I used to be the store manager of Claire’s/icing (same company) and their customer service policies are awesome so I never had to be a jerk!

If your Staples store refuses to price match 110% for a weekly sale (not a doorbuster sale) contact Staples Office of the Presidency. It’s just a fancy name for their complaint department. 1-800-338-0252.

I had a Staples refuse to price match. I left the store upset. Called this number. They then contacted my store. They retrained the managers and cashiers because the next week I went, I had no problems. This was last year. Hopefully I won’t have the same problem this year.

  13. maflies1

Thanks so much for the info Myrah! Have had some issues similar to yours in the past. Made a note for future reference, although they closed the store that was about an hour from home, which was our closest store. Anyone know who bought Staples out?

  14. Judy Trac
