The Tresseme deal won’t work at Walgreens. I tried it recently when there was a BOGO coupon. It wouldn’t scan and I was told that you have to pay for 2 to get the third free on the Walgreens deal. In this scenario, you are actually only paying for one and that makes the coupon not work.

    • Beth (Walgreens Sidekick)

Hi Judy, the Tresemme coupon is buy 1 get 1 free. So you need to “purchase” 2 in order to get “one” free. in addition this coupon overlaps with the store sale of buy 2 get 1 free. So you are purchasing 3 Tresemme items. 1 of these is made free by the coupon, and 1 is made free by the store sale. I hope that makes sense.

      • Deb

Definitely makes sense. If only you could educate Walgreens Clerks

        Beth,
The BOGO coupon beeps every time I’ve tried it with a deal like this. The manager even came to the register and explained that to get the buy two get one free Walgreens deal, I have to pay for 2 products, and with the BOGO RP coupon, I’m only actually paying for one product. He said I can do one deal or the other, not both in the same transaction. And the frustration and wasting of time is not something I have time or energy for. I’m glad for those who are able to get this to work. I wish the Walgreens were more consistent.

I had the same problem at Walgreens, I was told I was not able to use the BOGO MQ because I was already getting a third free. The cashier is wrong I know, but I’ve given up on doing these deals at Walgreens because the cashier’s always make a huge scene & make you feel like you are trying to do something illegal. I hate missing out on deals 🙁

  3. Lisa

I did this deal last time at Walgreens and it worked just as it’s suppose to thanks for sharing.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Glad to hear that Lisa! Thanks for the feedback!

  4. Jey

I am new to this coupon thing..i am seeing the forum saying coupon mentioned in RP what does that mean? Where do i find ? And how to get?

    • Holly

Jey , RP is the red plum coupon insert that comes in Sunday papers, local papers, or by mail. The other one, SS, is the smart source coupon insert.

Better deal on suave this week at rite aid. I got 8 for 50 cents each plus tax. They’ll go to the women’s shelter, and foster teens.

  6. Pat

Well, yesterday I also had an issue with the buy 2 get 1 free deal. I had Manufacturing coupons for all three items and they would not except the coupon for the free item. It was very frustrating, I had them call the manager to dispute and they said that they can not honor a coupon for a free item. The money I was going to save is just not worth getting into an argument with the cashier and manager. So you might think you are getting a good deal on the buy2 get 1 free but you are not they use the original price and with them not allowing you to use coupons on all three items you are not getting a good deal. It is just Not worth the fight with cashiers

    • Mel

unfortunately, per Wags coupon policy is that they no longer accept coupons free items. Been that way for several years now.

Have you heard of the “Fetch” app? It’s supposed to give you money back when you buy suave and dove products. Haven’t tried it yet. Has anyone else tried it?
