My dog is doing great on Wellness Core Grain Free for Fatties. It has Dog Food Advisor’s highest rating, and he’s been seizure free for at least 3 years now since I switched to this. (He does take meds too of course) but this stuff is great!

Yep! My furbabies are on a specific diet, where they have to eat specific food…but I am going to try to get a free bag to take with me to the local Humane Society. I volunteer there once a week. They and other local shelters can definitely use the food.

You can’t pay my cat to eat this food. She would rather starve than eat it or any of its treats. She also eats a high quality cat food. But, will not eat this brand. Not ripping on the brand. Just sharing my experience with my cat.

I’d like to know too. It isn’t on their website or their Facebook page. I think maybe it was sent to some PetPerks members via email (I didn’t get it) and since the code is the same for everyone who got it that it just got posted online by various deal sites. I’ve read some comments on other sites and it seems that it has been hit or miss whether or not the store will accept it. Since my cat eats Wellness I am going to try tomorrow to do this deal but won’t be mad if they say no.
Just coming back to say that earlier today I was able to get one bag of Wellness free and one bag Nutro free. Wellness for my cat and the Nutro for my local shelter. Thanks Collin.

I gave petsmart a call bc I was only aware of coupons like this going to select members(i talked to them about a month ago, so i called again)….and they said yes, this is only for selected members. While most members will receive coupons from time to time, almost all are generated by purchases. They quoted “if you haven’t received the coupon in your email, then the coupon is not met for you.”
so on that note…make sure you are checking all emails from petsmart. they are averaging an awesome coupon every week to every other week. i have received so many coupons for free items, its mind blowing. last week they gave out free small bags of nutrish…they were up to $25!!!! There was also a $40 off $100 coupon…which was AMAZING!

The last time Collin posted an offer like this, I printed the coupon and used it no problem. It never hurts to try!
It does hurt to try though..just bc it scans doesn’t mean its ok. Lots of coupons scan when they shouldn’t…but that doesn’t make it ok to do and take advantage of a weakness. Instead of trying to be sneaky about it and ring out, I called customer service and they said its not ok to use these.
This is my favorite site, but I may have to stop using it if this becomes common practice. By people using coupons that are not meant for them, you will ruin this for everyone. I have gotten a number of freebie coupons by mail and email from PetSmart, which is great. I didn’t get this one. If the coupons are not meant for you, then you can use them.

I can’t believe you would make such a big deal about this. From time to time everyone has used a coupon to benefit themselves or all of us wouldn’t be following a coupon site to begin with to save money. Regardless if it is right or not. It has nothing to do with Collin and her team for you to say that you might have to stop watching her site over this post. This is a great deal on a bag of dog food and if you don’t want to save almost 20.00 on a bag of dog food. That’s your choice. But I best 95% of other people would love it. No one has time to research the rules on every single coupon that is printed out there. Nor do we want to. We just want to save money. Keep this site positive not negative Collin goes out of her way to post us the best deals.
I work at a restuarant and people take a pic of their coupon and put ot on retailme.com and i know its from there but we still take it. Its still the same thing here. It brings in customers to their store. They might even buy more stuff while there.
Wow Holli! Did you actually read what you wrote? Right or not? Abusing the system only causes deals to disappear. Aren’t we seeing that now, with deals being harder to do? You are one of the many people we have to thank for that.
Agreed! A friend of mine is a manager at Petsmart, and she tells me horror stories. I love to save money as much as the next couponer but sometimes we have to think before arguing with managers or expecting a free bag of food. Lets all commend a good job well done or good service because you never know if someone’s job can hang on the balance.

Just got back from Petsmart. I was able to use the coupon, no questions asked. My dog is good on food but my cat is nearly out so I got a 6lb bag of cat food that is normally $26 for FREE! The cashier was amazed at that deal.

Thanks, H2S! I like deals just as much as all of you do. But following this site has made me more aware of the larger issues around couponing and deals- like the fact that fraud, and people abusing deals (such as a deal intended for “one freebie per card” or “one freebie per household”), and evidently “glitch groups on Facebook” – those kinds of “abuse” are leading to the manufacturers and retailers putting onerous restrictions on more and more coupons and sales. Like the new “1 identical coupon per transaction” fine print on the P&G printable coupons, e.g. Gillette. SO YOUR ACTIONS CAN AFFECT OTHERS. I’d love to get this free pet food – in fact, I got the free Nutro bag a few months ago – but I am waiting as I am worried that PetsMart didn’t intend it. I clicked on the coupon and the coupon looks kind of like someone made it on their home computer. The issue is, if a store sends a personalized freebie coupon to select customers’ emails (so maybe 1000 people), but then one of those customers posts it on the internet, and 500,000 people print it and redeem it. Then, in future, the store won’t send anything to anyone. Fear of fraud and abuse could mean they’ll pull back on all promotions and deals. So, I’m waiting a day or two on this PetsMart freebie, to make sure it’s legit.

Odd? I don’t think it’s odd at all when numerous people above are explaining that these coupons were meant for certain customers only. Just because it’s possible to improperly use coupons doesn’t make it right.
For the people on their high horse you guys act like the cash amount of the coupon are coming out of your pocket of even the pocket of the employees. I was a retail manager for many years and I’m sure if there were an issue petsmart would send out an internal memo and probably instruct employees to verify the original email. Whoever created the coupon I’m sure was smart enough to have created a coupon with different numbers on the bar codes if they weren’t supposed to be shared or wasn’t dumb enough to think that people would share such a good deal with others lol.There are ways around this and if the company was or is concerned they would do something about it. It’s not my job to worry about it so I used the coupon which went great and thanked Hip2save as well as petsmart.

Beth, I was trying not to be intentionally mean and just state facts. I was just annoyed that people were complaining about Collin and her team posting the coupon. Also a couple of people stated that they were going to leave the site because they insinuated that those of us who used it were dishonest in their opinion and in mine I obviously think differently. I meant to get a point across not be mean…
The problem is that numerous people have verified the intent for this deal by actually contacting PetSmart. If it isn’t meant for everyone, then it shouldn’t be listed. And it is cash out of my pocket, as more deals disappear.
Krazy Coupon Lady also has lots of comments from folks who say it’s been “redeemed already”. Darn, too good to be true.
Hmmm the employees at Ogden Utah didn’t seem to have a problem and neither did the ones in Henderson nv where my sister lives. I mentioned today that I got the coupon (not this one but the nutro one from today) from a coupon site when the cashier was so shocked at what a good deal it was. She was way friendly and said wow that’s awesome. I would think if they don’t have a problem I certainly am not going to create one and honestly I doubt they would stop doing deals I would imagine the company would just be smart about it the next time if they didn’t want it shared. Like I said if the company really had a problem I would imagine and internal memo would have went out to the employees. Also had they not let me use it I would have said ok and walked out just as content as when I walked in. I’ve worked as a retail store manager and most companies are happy to take a coupon regardless and gain a new customer. Claire’s and icing (same company) would take coupons off of retail me not just to make a customer happy and that was even if they didn’t make a big deal about it!
And also Collin updated the post “UPDATE: It appears that this coupon is only valid for select members who received this email.” To make you all happy. What other people do with that information and the coupon seems to me would not be anyone’s business but their own.

Did anybody get the free wellness treat coupon or the free instinct treat?
Tried to redeem coupons on 8/10/17 and the check out machine will not accept the barcode. Store manager was called to assist and said that the coupons are fraudulent. Store manager was notified by corporate that these coupons have been circulating the internet and they are not to accept the coupons unless the customer can show the actual email that was sent by Petsmart.
When I got my bag of both I asked the cashier if I got the right bags. He told me he couldn’t tell until he scanned them. Coupon worked for both Wellness and Nutro. He joked about how I was such a big spender 😉
I presented them to the cashier when I walked in and asked if they were familiar with the coupons and she said yes that there were size restrictions as stated on the coupons. I got both no problem. I am giving them to an elderly neighbor for her dog. Thank you Collin.
