Does anyone know where would be best to drop off book bags filled with supplies? I live in San Diego, and I didn’t know if there is a general place to donate for students that can’t afford such things. Thank you in advance! 🙂

    • Nicole

Perhaps call around to local schools or your local library?

    • Mac

I think mattress firm collects school supplies for foster kids.

    • Cori

Any shelter will take your school donations for local kids.

    • Ariel

Check with your local Department of Child and Family Services (foster care).

      • Pamela

They have a bus that there wanting to fill up from a credit unit and jcpenny you can buy a backpack for 7 dollars to donate to a school

Check churches. Our church in MI does.

You may want to call your Staples to see if they take manufacturer coupons. I know in the past not all of them did. But it has been awhile since I have used manufacturer coupons at Staples.

I know mine takes them, but they are wonky. Like I can’t use a $1/2 coupon, unless one of the items purchased is at least $1

    • Jan

The register tells the clerk to process the manufacturer coupons as store coupons at my store, but they won’t scan because they have more bars on the code than a store coupon. So they have to discount the item by hand by the coupon amount. I had $1/1 Expo dry erase coupons and they are on clearance, but they had to charge me a penny, because the register won’t let them discount them down to free.

I purchased the copy paper and submitted my refund, my rebate is on the way, it has been only 4 weeks… staples is the best.!!!!

  5. inna

My staples rebate for the paper is only $7.99. So $1/ ream. Just an fyi.

    • Rebecca

My Staples rebate for the paper is only $7.99 also, but they have the 4 ream paper for only $3 with rebate, making it .75 a ream!

  6. Kerry

I compared prices for both the 750/3 ream pack for $7.99 and the 4 ream case for $16.00. The 3 ream had a easy rebate that made each $1, and 4 ream case rebate made it $3. However, I did the math…
There was a limit of 3 for the rebate for the 3 ream pack. It had 750 sheets x 3= 2250 total sheets $7.99 x 3= $23.97, after easy rebate of $7.99 for each pk, making it $3 for total of 2250 sheets of paper. Then did math for 4 ream case. Rebate limit is 3 cases. For one which had a total of 2000 sheets for each case. one case $19.99 -$16.99 easy rebate= $3.00 for 2000 sheets of paper.
So really the 750/3 ream pack if you were to buy the maximum of three for the rebate you come out ahead. Total of 2250 sheets of paper for $3.00. Versus case which on only get 2000 sheets of paper for $3.00. For the 750/3 ream pack you get 250 extra sheets of paper for your money. However, since you could only buy three for the rebate I bought 3 of the 750 count and one case. You may be out the money now, but so much cheaper in the long run after getting back the cash! Just wanted to share my findings :)….

My staples would not let me use my $1 off 2 Bic items that were $.50 each – so no free items. So I walked out of the store without buying anything. What is the purpose of having the coupon then ? And why should they care ? They get the $$ back plus more from the company ?
