   Let me just say that my husband and I booked one of these all-inclusive + airfare deals through groupon. (The travel agency we used was vacation express.) I was very skeptical about it, but it was great. We had no issues whatsoever with our trip. The travel agency was easy to work with. Everything went very smoothly at the resort (the Rui Tequila in playa del carmen, Mexico). I’d definitely do it again.

   Be sure to check Ebates! It’s only 3% today, but when hubby and I booked a trip to Italy awhile ago it was 8% and we got hundreds back. Score!!

   Just keep hurricane season in mind, since they have been known to hit DR. There was a hurricane there while my husband and I were on our honeymoon about 6 years ago.

    Ah such a good deal, but those dates won’t work for me as a teacher! So bummed…there’s hardly ever deals when I have time off since that’s when peak traveling times are 🙁

    Just called the travel agency and she told me the pool at the resort will be closed 10/3-10/26.
