Planning a Hawaiian vacation? 🌺

Now is a great time to get your tickets! Several travel booking sites such as Expedia, Priceline and Orbitz are offering up HOT deals on travel to Hawaii from various US cities with travel dates through March 2018. As one idea, I spotted tickets from Seattle, WA to Kona, HI for as low as $362 roundtrip!

Hip Tip: To get the best prices, head here and use Google Flight Search to find the lowest priced days for travel. Just enter your to/from destinations and click on the calendar icon to select your flight dates. The prices listed in green are the lowest prices. Make note of those dates, but don’t purchase tickets on Google. Instead, head over to Expedia, Priceline or Orbitz to book your flights on those low fare days.

Check out these deals I spotted:
  • Portland, OR to Kona, HI $362 Roundtrip
  • San Diego, CA to Maui, HI $362 Roundtrip
  • San Jose to Kahului, HI $397 Roundtrip
  • Denver, CO to Kona, HI $510 Roundtrip
  • Phoenix, AZ to Kona, HI $545 Roundtrip

DH and I just got back from Oahu. We’re from Oklahoma and plane tickets were $900 per person. Best vacation ever though. Definitely money well spent but it would’ve been nice to fly out for $300-400 a person instead.

For those wondering how to save from the east coast, apply for the Alaska airlines credit card and when u spend $1000 you get a free companion ticket (pay taxes and fees). Paid 806 round trip orlando to Honolulu for 2 passengers

    • Lenore

What an awesome tip! Thank you for sharing that.

Whenever possible, book tickets through the airlines directly. I’ve seen issue after issue with online travel agents because if something goes wrong, they don’t want to advocate for you but the airline won’t talk to you – it adds another layer to deal with for the same price.

Thanks for great flight deals H2S! If you want to save more while in Maui stay in a condo! You have access to full kitchen and can save on meals or store your leftovers in fridge. Often condos stock a lot of beach gear (chairs, beach towels, toys) to limit the extra costs or rental fees to get these items. Check out Vrbo or http://www.stayinkihei.com

      You’re welcome Jessica!

We are going at Christmas for 18 days!!! Look into opening new credit cards with airlines, hotels, ect. Great rewards earned with money we would be spending anyways(we charge everything and pay off every month)
