Hip Recipe Tips:

    • Make sure to use whole milk ricotta so the dip will have a thick, creamy consistency.
    • Cream cheese can be substituted for the Mascarpone cheese, if desired.
    • Cannoli Dip isn’t meant to be super sweet, so taste and adjust sugar to your taste.
    • It tastes best after being chilled in the fridge while making the “chips”.

We LOVED this dip!

Such a creative idea that didn’t take much time at all. I enjoyed using pieces of pie crusts as dippers, but you could also use graham crackers, pieces of waffle cone, fried egg roll wrappers, and I think strawberries would be yummy also! Enjoy!

Where would I find Mascarpone Cheese?

    • Lina (Hip's Modern Martha)

Usually by the cream cheese or ricotta.

    • JODI P

It might also be in the deli with the fancier cheeses.

You can make similar chips with soft flour tortillas. Cut then with a pizza cutter, spray with Pam and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and bake.

    • Dianna Ray

Broken up waffle cones are the best things we’ve used with this dip 😊

  14. Ashley

How much cream cheese? The ingredient list doesn’t actually list it.

    • Lina D

Sorry – should read mascarpone in directions – fixed. Although you can use 8 oz cream cheese instead. Hope that helps!

  15. Dianna Ray

My oldest daughter makes this and she uses box of waffle cones broke in pieces to dip. It’s so yummy 😊
