SO I have a bunch of rewards stored up from recycling ink cartridges. If I use those rewards to buy these, will I still get the bonus refunded back? TIA

    • I

      No. They don’t roll rewards.

      • me

no it does not work on the binders. I tried it earlier this week and did not get any rewards. It did work on the batteries.

    • ned

yes. you can roll the rewards. I bought the battery last Monday. I use my rewards to pay for that. The next day I got the 14.98 rewards. I use it to buy the bond papers. Got the rewards from the bond paper last night, used it today for another pack of battery. I’ll most likely get the $14.98 rewards by tomorrow.

Did you do it online or in store?

Actually, they do. I asked the question of my Office Depot cashier months ago and she said that it would. It also helped that she was the store manager. She advised me to think of Rewards like real cash and helped me to “roll” the rewards for my transaction.

    Hope this helps.

    • I

They don’t. They aren’t treated like cash they’re treated as gift cards and they don’t want infinitely rolling free money.

Office Depot® OfficeMax® Rewards: Rewards are earned on the price paid for a qualifying item before tax and after deducting all discounts and the value of any Office Depot OfficeMax Rewards, MaxPerks, or Office Depot Merchandise Cards/Certificates applied to purchase. No rewards are earned on delivery fees.Jan 11, 2015

I bought 2 binders for this deal and used 100% rewards to pay. I didn’t get reward back. I just txt Office Depot and this is what they said “Yes if you use the rewards fully, it’ll NOT be issued in back in rewards”. However, I’ve been using my rewards to roll rewards and I also paid the remain balance in cash or credit card and still got back rewards. I guess if you paid nothing out of pocket you’ll not get back rewards.

I purchased 2 packs of the Duracell AA batteries yesterday and paid $29.98 with my rewards that I had earned from last quarter and I’m seeing $29.96 back in rewards on my officedepot account today, so I basically paid $.01 for each pack, just like the deal posted on here. So I believe you can roll rewards, as long as you pay something, you will still earn rewards.

      I store or online?

I use my rewards to buy postage stamps. You always need those.

      Great idea!

I purchased 10 binders and used some rewards and paid the rest with credit card. The only rewards I got back was what I paid out of pocket and not the rewards I used. However, when I used rewards to pay for the batteries I was able to get the full rewards back on those. I purchased the binders online and the batteries in store so I don’t know if that made the difference?

I haven’t been able to get in to their website for about 2 months. Anyone else have that problem? I’ve tried 3 browsers and 4 computers.
