Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.

In a large bowl, mix ground beef with onion, egg, garlic powder, Worcestershire, salt & pepper.

Press evenly into one layer in a 9"x13" baking dish or sheet pan and bake in the oven at 425 degrees for 9-10 minutes until browned and no longer pink in the middle.

Remove any grease from the pan, if there's any. Cut the burgers into 12 two-inch squares. If desired, cut cheese slices in half or quarters, and place a piece of cheese on each slider. Put back in the oven for a minute to melt.

Compile each slider or serve a pan with rolls on the side for everyone to compile their own sliders with toppings and condiments. Enjoy!

I’ve had people ask,“Does baking the beef give it a weird texture?” Honestly, no it doesn’t! It’s more like meatloaf, but it’s still just as tasty!

Tips for making cheeseburger sliders for a crowd:

  • This recipe makes about 12 two-inch-sized square beef sliders, and King’s Hawaiian brand rolls fit perfectly. Try the King’s Hawaiian pretzel rolls with this recipe as a change of pace. My family loves them!
  • You can easily double this recipe for a larger crowd. As far as what pans to use, I baked my sliders in a 10×15 sheet pan with a rim. You can use an 8×13 casserole dish instead if desired.
  • Feel free to assemble each slider after cooking and serve them on a platter, or set up a buffet and let people add their own burger fixings.
  • Consider making some easy copycat Big Mac sauce to go along with your sliders!

These sheet pan burger sliders are a great crowd-pleasing idea!

We first saw this smart hack on FoodNetwork.com and tested out a version at one of our Hip2Save team retreats years ago. This meal was so easy and GOOD! I made an assembly line with the sliders, Hawaiian rolls, some simple roasted sweet potato fries, and a salad — everyone enjoyed it!

    These sound yummy & easy! I will try them this Saturday. Costco sells the Hawaiian buns for only $4.99 for Two – 16 pack rolls. Great price, and where I buy them regularly to make baked ham & cheese sandwiches for parties or tailgates.

    Hey I kinda did that tonight! Well I flatten out my hamburger in a freezer ziploc bag and then freeze. I didn’t want to deal with reshaping so tonight I just ripped the ziploc sides and put hamburger square in the electric skillet.

      I think it’s a great idea. Weddings should be individualized to the person having them. We are all in different situations and her family may have come up with this solution as as alternative to pricey catered food. Who ever decided there were” rules “for weddings anyway??

      I cut them up into longer, thin slices. Then coated with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and paprika. Baked on a sheet pan for about 20-30 minutes in the oven at 375 until tender. They were easy and so good!

      It’s just to bind meat together but I’m sure you could skip it if desired. The original idea had breadcrumbs and we didn’t have any – it was fine without.

    I do sweet potato fries or sliced crisps in the air fryer, with a spritz of oil, comes out great! You can add whatever seasoning you like but I just add a touch of honey sometimes after they’re done.. or not, either way they’re good 🙂

    What happens with the edges, wouldn’t these end up like brownies where the outer edges become closer to well done with middle being medium rare? I guess if your not concerned about consistency this could be ok.

    I love the copycat White Castle recipe. Similar idea but uses a splash of milk and a little peanut butter mixed in with the meat. Sounds weird but it’s so good!
