This is one of the not so nice comments left on this Facebook post. Seriously?!

Sorry, but I’m ditching “Happy Friday” today, and instead posting “Happy Paige”.

Paige ROCKS, and she’s also addicted to Diet Coke as mentioned in this Facebook post. But guess what? It’s her life to live, and if she wants to drink Diet Coke all day – SHE CAN. 👌

The post was about sharing our own guilty pleasures, and not about educating all of us on why we shouldn’t drink Diet Coke.

So CHEERS to Paige for putting herself out there, and looking oh so cute in her Diet Coke costume!

IT’S HAPPY PAIGE DAY! 💃

I eat healthy, don’t smoke or drink etc but I have a chronic illness that puts me in the hospital every now and then. Reading this stuff and people’s arguments is so trivial. Live, laugh, love because you don’t know how much time you have left on this earth. Just my 2 cents. ✌️

    • Tasha

Right? It’s crazy what people will do behind their computer. I have several chronic illnesses, none of which are likely to kill me, but still, I have better things to do than trash others. I am allergic to aspartame, and i really do think that it’s bad for you, but one of my BFF’s is addicted to Diet Dr Pepper. You know what I tell her? (Only when she asks, of course.) “You’re hurting no one but yourself, if it’s true. You could be doing drugs or alcohol and kill someone driving. Or you could be addicted to gambling and lose your house.” People can really be petty.

  2. Jasmin

If drinking diet come makes me look that good, I’m drinking it too!

    • Tammy

I was thinking the same thing! I need to start drinking Diet Coke too! Love this site.

  3. jan

    I love love regular coke!!!

    • Evan

      Amen!

  4. LF

I’m addicted to regular coke. One a day. There’s nothing better than a fountain coke from McDonald’s!!!!!!! Omg I call it liquid crack, totally addicting!!

    • Vanessa

OMG! Yes! I don’t know how McDonalds does it but it truly is the best fountain Coke I’ve ever had! BUT the imported Mexican bottled cokes are amazing as well. They’re pricey but worth it!

    • Nicole Z.

I think it has to do with something in the way they filter their water. Seriously. I read about it on another site. Everyone was raving about the fountain drinks at McDonald’s. I totally agree! I don’t drink soda anymore, but when I do, it’s from McDonalds. Haha!

  5. Rebecca

You know, something’s going to kill us all one day and chances are slim it’ll be a diet Coke lol. Enjoy your life & love each other.

  6. Kelly

❀❀❀ This is a fun Friday story ! Can’t believe all the negativity ! Just wow 😳! Years ago when I smoked cigarettes people always seem to want to tell you they are bad for you ? Really ? πŸ˜‚ My only addiction these days is caffeine . You have to have something ! Not that serious ! Why the rude stuff ? Scroll on !

  7. Melissa

Great picture, Love it. Nowadays everybody feels entitled to say what is right and wrong to people that is not asking for their opinion. Happy Friday!!!

  8. Ihearthip

I try to be good and avoid sugar but love Diet Coke. It’s something I enjoy that I don’t have to feel guilty about. I’m passing up on all this other delicious stuff so I feel like enjoying my treat Diet Coke helps me stay on track. Go Paige! Ignore the haters!

  9. Abby

So many people are hurting in the world right now. Let’s not tear each other down. Let’s just be kind to each other. Paige you look beautiful and most importantly you look happy! Don’t let anyone tear you down! πŸ™‚

OMG. I’m in love with Diet Coke too. Only one a day for me, but it’s wonderful. And Diet Pepsi tastes like dirty dish water. πŸ˜†

  13. JA

    Happy Paige Day!

  14. Zahra

So to every one who left a comment and didn’t care for the post little advice don’t read move on and keep your comments to your self. Paige you rock!

  15. mimi

Hey every now and again it’s nice to throw it back. Hihi cute outfit I love that it has a hat

  16. cindy b

You guys rock! I look for posts with lots of comments….I like to read others opinions even if I don’t agree with them. The comments open my eyes to different viewpoints and ways of thinking. Although, snarky and mean comments are always disappointing. I’ve used these topics as a discussion starter with my teen/young adult kids.

  17. Rhonda

Go Paige! My vice is coffee so I understand loving your bev! You do you girl. Personally, I love when people judge or criticize me. That reminds me, this is my story I am writing and if people are judging me then I must be dancing to my own song not everyone elses. πŸ™‚ I celebrate your choices with you!

  18. Sandy

Haha! It’s never good to judge others. All I can think about is Grumpy Old Men – LOL:
Grandpa: Well let me tell you something now, Johnny. Last Thursday, I turned 95 years old. And I never exercised a day in my life. Every morning, I wake up, and I smoke a cigarette. And then I eat five strips of bacon. And for lunch, I eat a bacon sandwich. And for a midday snack?
    John: Bacon.
Grandpa: Bacon! A whole damn plate! And I usually drink my dinner. Now according to all of them flat-belly experts, I should’ve took a dirt nap like thirty years ago. But each year comes and goes, and I’m still here. Ha! And they keep dyin’.

    • Allison

I love this! That’s one of my favorites! πŸ˜„

  19. holly

Love this! I prefer my diet Coke with a little rum. Kudos to Paige!

  20. Lel

No love for Caffeine Free Diet Coke?I prefer the taste to Diet Coke, Coke Zero and the new green low cal coke.

  21. Jenn

Happy Paige Day!! You look great, keep doing you! Hip team – thank you for this post, the post about tipping, the post about flu shot gift cards, and everything else you post on YOUR amazing site! Everything you post on your website reflects the time you all put in to help the people who read. Haters gonna hate (and apparently make up anything they want with zero credentials?!), but just shake it off, shake it off!

  22. Gretchen

I’m a regular coke addict, especially fountain coke! I try to limit myself – but I would totally switch to diet coke if I thought it would help me rock that dress as well as Paige! FYI, just tried the new Coke Zero sugar and it is phenomenal!!!

  23. Liz

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜πŸ˜‚ hahahah thanks for the laugh. Lighten up people.

  24. Gaby

Happy Paige Day!!!! Love the dress, you look amazing!

  25. bbc

Haha it must have been a leftie liberal leaving a rude comment! I love diet coke too – who cares, too much hate in the world, all everyone does anymore is complain. She rocks that diet coke dress – and I agree, it’s her life, let her eat cake too!

    • Nicole

lol what? why the need to blame “liberals”? I’m a “leftie liberal” – I love my diet coke and wouldn’t post something like that? and if you want to talk about which party would try to dictate what women do with their bodies……

  26. Cassandra

You just made a judgement and contradicted yourself with your comment.

  27. Cassandra

I apologize. I did not mean to post my comment twice.

  28. Gerta

Paige you look fantastic! Diet Coke obviously agrees with you. Everyone has to have a vice, right? Mine is Peppermint Patties frozen (they taste better that way) Always have to have a “stash” in my freezer. But I’m learning to eat them tiny bites at a time. Otherwise, I’ll wolf them down and oooops, the bag is gone LOL! πŸ™‚

    • Mindy

I’ve never tried them frozen! Now I must do that….

  29. Chris

I used to work in a large convenience store. Someone kept taping little post it notes to th coca cola racks and several bottles denouncing everything about the soda. We finally found out it was a local dentist!

  30. Stella

❀ i truly wish you had a ” like” button πŸ‘, or maybe a THANK YOU button? Sooooo many of us APPRECIATE all of your posts!! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ Thanks!

  31. Jasmin

    Liked! Live and let live!!!!!

  32. Jenny

Yay!! I love this! It’s not that hard people, be nice and worry about yourself!!

  33. Tony

REALLY PEOPLE!! If you want to be a narcissus and put yourself out there. You need to be smart enough to know that everyone does not think you are cute, wonderful, charming or whatever trait is living in your head. Be prepared to take the good with the bad or don’t post things with no content. (Because who really cares that she drinks diet coke!! – this is what our society is reduced to – ITS ALL ABOUT ME!!!!)

    • Rhonda

Maybe you should get your facts straight before you start calling people out. Paige snapped a pic of herself in the dress and sent it to Collin to thank her for the gift. Collin decided to post it. No one displayed narcissistic behavior. The post was about community and sharing your own guilty pleasure. Unfortunately, it was derailed by people calling someone out for having a guilty pleasure they don’t approve of.

    • Zahra

      Chill out

  34. Julie

I’m undecided if there are more people that feel their misguided, ill founded opinions must be preached to others or if there are simply more avenues for those to do it. I have never heard of ‘death by Diet Coke’, but if it’s possible, it sounds like a sweet way to go.

  35. Blessed

IMHO I think the post is appropriate in relation to “Happy Friday” post. I feel like the tie in works. This is a blog run by Collin and she can run her business in a manner that she feels is in line with her values. She may gain views or lose views but that’s her decision to make. It feel like Hip2save is more than just a listing of deals there has always been a little something extra and I think that is one of the things I like about Hip2save. I no longer have a baby so I generally skip the baby post. I truly appreciate the fact that Collin has a platform that is a blessing to her family and mine.

  36. Liz

    How is Puerto Rico doing?
So sad that we live in a time where so much suffering is happening globally, but people feel the need to slam one another on a coupon blog!!!

  37. thehenrydthoreau

It is ok to disagree with one another. Mediocrity is death of the soul. It is how we disagree with another that speaks volume about character. We should always work to inform with the knowledge that people have free will.

  38. Lovetoreadcomments

Personally diet drinks are gross to meπŸ˜³πŸ‘€πŸ˜πŸ‘Ž. As my brother in law said in a humorous way it taste like gasoline😏 I love sugar filled regular drinks though Coca Cola is my favorite. It does eat away enamel on teeth but I try to be careful.

  39. Allie

Kudos for focusing on the good and not letting judgy “perfect” people poop on your rainbow! Paige, keep rocking the dress, Diet Coke, and anything else that makes you smile.

  40. Penny

Truthfully we all have our hidden pleasures. Diet Coke being a minor one in my book. But I’m reminded of a verse Matthew 7:5 “…first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from our brother’s eye.”

  41. Perry Rose

I’m drinking a Coke while reading this.
