Airbnb is fantastic. We use them quite frequently for vacation. Used them to go to Belize in March and were able to rent an apartment in a duplex for 10 days for what we would have spent on 4 nights in a hotel and had a full kitchen and the apartment was in the middle of everything. I highly recommend Airbnb.
People that rent their home/room for a day cheaper than hotels
We have done airbnb twice. One was great and the other horrible even though the rental had five stars. Not sure at this point of we will stay again.
Yeah, I have had two Airbnb experiences as well. The first Airbnb experience we left right away as the place was haunted. Despite that, I decided to give Airbnb another chance and had an excellent experience with my second stay. And yes, most Airbnbs I have noticed have 5 star ratings even though it may not be necessarily true. A lot has to do with the fact that the host can also rate their guests. So if you give the host a poor rating they can give you a poor rating in return (which may hurt your chances of renting an Airbnb in the future if the owner has to approve your stay).
You can’t see the other person’s review until you have left one for them. After 2 weeks, if only one person has left a review, it becomes visible, and the other person can’t leave a review at that point,

We love Airbnb
It is great for families and for couples
We have a family of five and it really isn’t suitable for us to get one hotel room so Airbnb is the way that we go we rent houses for the same price as a hotel room
When I travel with my boyfriend it’s great to have the conveniences of the house as well
