This is an amazing deal! I just want to make sure that everyone knows that LG has horrible customer service. We bought a nice LG refrigerator a few years ago, and the compressor went out after only 4 years! We called customer service (which is in Korea) and they offered to send us a new compressor….we just had to choose from a list of electricians that they provided. To get the work done, it would’ve cost over $600. If you do decide to buy any LG product, just make sure that you buy the extra warranty. You’ll be glad you did!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks so much for sharing your experience Jessica! Sorry to hear your LG refrigerator needed a complicated fix after just 4 years!

  2. Dee

My recent repair man advised me not to buy LG brand because they repair that brand most often

    • M

My husband repairs appliance and says this all the time. Trendy but break. ๐Ÿ˜”

      • Hannah

Great info! What brand does he recommend based on least amount of repairs?

  3. Craig

So im confused. They have horrible costumer service, inferior product thay broke down only after 4 years, and a part thar cost as much as a new refrigerator and this is considered a great deal??
Im confused. We have a Hotpoint from 20 years with no issues but need to start looking for a new.

    • Freckle53

They donโ€™t make appliances like they used to.

      • a. rich

I agree sad but true we bought a Frigidaire last year and the compressor did not work from day 1 then it was one thing after the next. Exchanged it for a Whirlpool so far so good but it scratches easily.

      • Craig

You got v that right!! Im in market for a new one for our larger family. Any suggestions for ones that are still built the good ole days?

    • TooConfused

Hi, I think she meant this is a great deal considering these usually run a lot higher price wise, but if you want an excellent fridge, the GE Slate French Fridge is way to go.
      (It is also smudge proof)

      • Craig

I want one i only have to buy once and is made to US quality like they use to be. That’s a joke to need a compressor after 4 years!

        • Connie

Yep, our Kenmore (made by LG) French door fridge just crapped out after 6 years. No one will even come to repair it! They all say they won’t touch LG. So we bought new – went with Amana, which is American made.

      • Katie

hey @ TooConfused, I am looking at purchasing the GE slate french door fridge and am wondering if it’s a loud refrigerator. We are looking at the one with the ice and water on the outside. Reviews online say that it’s loud but we really like the slate finish. Thank you for your advise!

  4. Chelsea

Lowes has the same size Frigidaire on sale for $1300 I believe. We went in store and looked at a bunch and felt it was the most bang for the buck. ALso has free home delivery. We will order it this weekend when we move to our new house!

    • Haseena

Can you please share the link? Thanks

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Great find! Thanks for the heads up Chelsea! Congratulations on your new home!

  5. Rev

Need your suggestions please. Our house has all Whirlpool Gold (white color) appliances. They are 14 years old, they r still working but not as energy efficient and good looking as newer models. We are waiting for it to stop working so we can replace with new ones. Want to know which brands you would recommend for reliability and efficiency. Thanks!

    • Krissy

I’ve used whirlpool gold, frigidaire and Samsung. Out of the 3 brands we tried we loved Samsung the best. Their customer service is outstanding should you ever need it and they deliver a quality product! Frigidaire is what we have now and we don’t care for it, my convection oven doesn’t cook evenly and they seem cheaply made. Our Whirlpool appliances did not last and were not durable, however the dishwasher was nice and did last.

    • Rev

Thank you all for the suggestions. Looks like every brand may or may not last long..depending on our luck:)I am looking at Costco where they have the whole set and they carry LG and Samsung. I trust Costco, still not sure if that’s the best deal or we should shop for individual deal for each appliance.

      • ๐Ÿ’š Fridays

I have this entire LG set I got from Costco about 3 years ago when the black SS first came out. Every single LG appliance I have including 6yo washer/dryer and TV works and looks like brand new. I’ve been using LG for many many years including cellphones and never had a problem so I can’t speak for cust service as I never needed them (a good thing) I would totally repeat every purchase. My relatives have used kitchen aid, Samsung, Whirlpool, Kenmore and all had problems with noises, leaks, failures, burnouts, etc. Hope this helps negate the negatives. Most LG appliances have high reviews. It’s really all about what you can comfortably afford and def read all the reviews.

    • tleeg

I know how you feel…Ive had my fridge for almost 17 years and i keep renewing the warranty yearly because i know any day now its gonna crap out and i can get a new one.

    • Craig

      Yes, me too.

  6. Karen

Kitchenaid all the way! I have a LG washer and dryer but Kitchenaid appliances in the kitchen.

    • Jackie

Kitchenaid is awful! Glad you had good luck with have had nothing but trouble with ours. Twice have our dishwasher broke and flooded our kitchen. We had two different dishwashers in 4 years, both kitchenaids. The wood floors….all damaged. The fridge also gave us problems. The ice maker quit working ๐Ÿ˜ก

      • Karen

Never had an issue with my Kitchenaid. Its all part of luck of the draw i suppose!

  7. Amy lewis

Our nice samsung did not last 2 years. Our 13 year old LG is still going. Samsung customer service was awfu. Just purchase extended warranty.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Happy to hear how well your LG has held up through the years! Thanks for the feedback!

  8. Rosi

We have this fridge and love how spacious and compartmentalized it is. We paid $2700 for it on sale…We have only had it for 2 years though. Our LG washer and dryer are great (4 years). Anyone who has used our washer comments on how well it washes the clothes. I cannot comment on customer service for either since we haven’t needed it yet.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for your review! Happy to hear pleased you have been with this refrigerator!

  9. Heather

Check Lowes and Home Depot in store for clearances… we are getting ready to move and are looking for all new appliances and we have ran across some incredible deals on clearance.

    • Rev

Sure will do that! I have see them but never researched if it was a great deal or not. Next time I go I will look around.

    • Happymama

Yes! We found 3 out of 4 of our appliances off the clearance sections when we remolded the kitchen. It saved a TON and they all match (Frigidaire Gallery)!! It did take a few months to find them but when you live in Home Depot, it’s easy to do lol

      • Rev

I used to think abt it too, same brand. Good to know that we can achieve it by being patient while they r on clearance too:)

  10. Kidsallgone

Being “smudge-proof” is worth paying $3 bazillion for any appliance ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

    • Rev

Yes!!! I love those ones, best with little kids around.

  11. Cruz

Is the BEST DEALS to buy appliances BLACK FRIDAY OR AFTER CHRISTMAS??? I forget… I know it was something like that, and I want to buy Washer/Dryer and a new Stove.

    • riss

I’ve been researching as we may need a new fridge soon. I read Sept and Oct for kitchen appliances (except fridge which is in May) and all holiday weekends, and of course, Black Friday.

  12. Vinne

    Suggestions please
I were planning to buy a similar Lg SS FRIDGE & LG STEAM washer/dryer as we just bought a house .. we are planning to move by year end . When should be probably buy .. thanksgiving ? Thinking for Home Depot .. any other store suggestions for good deal on LG.. on our last visit to honedepot .. we were suggested to buy a counter depth fridge as it will stand next to pantry ..and suggestions for counter depth refrigerator.. any suggestions would be big help for a first time buyer

    • Laurie

For a washer/dryer – Speed Queen!!! They are built to last!

      • Mandy

I also recommend speed queen when it comes to washers and dryers. I love mine!

    • Lynn

Vinne, I have a regular refrigerator (not a counter depth one) and IMO it looks just fine standing next to the pantry. No they are not flush, the refrigerator does come out some. My Mother in law designed our kitchen set up as she is a kitchen specialist who works for Home Depot for MANY years and she said it’s a personal choice. For us (me being a hard core shopper who often has many, many products to be stored in the refrigerator) it was a no brainer to get the bigger refrigerator. Once the appliance is in, it really isn’t a big deal unless your refrigerator is right near the doorway or something. Hope this is food for thought. Good luck!

      • Vinne

        Thank you ..

  13. Britt

Says it is out of stock โ˜น

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Back in stock now as I click through if you wanted to check again!

  14. sa tho

I heard horror stories from LG and Samsung. I guess it pays off to buy American Made. At least you get parts a whole lot easier and cheaper. We have a Whirlpool fridge and it is still going for 12 years now. Stainless steel, water and Ice dispenser in door.

  15. idevinsanchezi

    only the black color?
