    These chip sooo badly

    • Bonnie

I’ve had mine for 30+ years and not a single chip.

    • Jess

I’ve had mine for 7+ years and absolutely no chips here either! They still look brand new.

    • carisa4christ

This brand DOES NOT- they even have a 5-yr chip replacement warranty!

      • Karen

I purchased sets from Kohls about 18 months ago and nearly every piece is dinged, chipped, or scratched. We’re not a household of heathens, it’s just all from normal wear and tear. I called less than a year after purchasing and got no where with customer service.

Perhaps the older stuff is better quality (as is the case with so many products these days), but I absolutely hate the new ones I have.

    • Daisybell

Even with 5 children, 10 yrs old and younger, we’ve never had any chips. Fiestaware holds up wonderfully!

    • Lee

Really? I have tons of fiesta, mostly vintage, and they have never chipped on me.

    • libby

I have new and old (a rainbow of colors) and these dishes are more likely to break your tile than crack or chip when dropped.

    • Ann

Then you have fake Fiesta if it is chipping. I’ve had every color and we have used them hard for years. No chips!

    • Charmel

Kohls merchandise is imperfect. So it is very possible your fiesta ware from there is chipping.

Can anyone recommend dinnerware that is durable and u can purchase by the piece? I just want plates, salad/dessert plates and bowls. No cups, mugs or saucers. TIA 😊

    • Jess

I love my Fiesta dishes! I bought mine piece by piece, not a set. I didn’t have any use for the small mugs and saucers.

    • Juli

I’m not sure of the quality now, but 12 years ago, my husband bought several sets of the plates from Walmart (Mainstays). I couldn’t stand the color, but the deal was that I could not get new dishware unless those broke. For 6 years, I tried everything I could to break those things. “Accidentally” dropping plates/ bowls onto the ceramic tile floor. Nothing broke or chipped. I finally had enough and just bought new dishware and donated the others. My new dishware cracks and breaks all the time. So, possibly Mainstays.

      • Laura

I love my Fiesta and have had no issues with chips. I started buying it about 2 years ago and have bought some this year as well with no issues. My house isn’t overly easy on dishes either. I use the baking pieces as well and love the colors/quality.

    • Rachel

I personally love Corelle. I know a lot of people don’t like them but they are perfect for my family. They are lightweight for little hands, chip and break resistant, inexpensive, and you can find them easily. I have the solid white, so it goes with everything. I have other dinnerware for special occasions but these are great for everyday.

      • Kimberly

Yes I agree with the corelle recommendation! We have the solid white ones and I got at target. They sell them in sets or separately. I think they are called Winter Frost or something like that.

    • Danielle

You can order the fiesta ware in the 3 piece set. With the codes listed, it comes out to $17.05 per 3 piece set.

      • Stacy

Thanks Cheryl! Just ordered a set!

    • Happymama

Ikea has inexpensive single dishes for .99/each. They are basic white, similar to Corelle, and you can buy as much or little as you want of a particular dish. Just like you, we didn’t need any cups so I got 12 large plates and 6 bowls for under $18! We have had them for about 5 months and had had no issues (with 2 clumsily adults, 1 rough teen and 1 preschooler)!

      • Jen

        Thanks!

    • Becks

Corelle dishes are basically invincible. And they have them by the separate pieces at Walmart.

  3. Chris

Does anyone know what color that soft yellow is in the bottom ‘fall’ picture of the post (with the burgundy plate)? When I click on the four piece set I do not see any color that looks like that plate.

    • Deb

The color is Ivory. Very pretty

  4. D

I want to figure out a good color combination an order some but I’m just not sure they could hold up to my rough husband and son who help with dish washing. My Corelle set that claimed it wasn’t supposed to chip or shatter yet it has several chipped pieces and the dropped pieces have shattered.

  5. Lynn

Can anybody comment on the weight of these? I don’t like the heavy plates etc. Much rather light weight as long as they will hold up in the Dishwasher. Thanks

    • Lauren

I collect fiestaware and they are pretty heavy. I grew up with corelle dishes and those are the lightest I’ve used as well as sturdy.

  6. Robin

They are fairly substantial plates; I don’t feel that they are particularly light weight. They hold up well. As far as colors go, I got a mixture. The colors eventually retire and I can always buy something that fits in.

  7. lisa

Thank you so much! LOVE Fiesta! Going to grab a few more pieces, Have been using it for so many years. My college son even has grabbed a few from our house and wants more for xmas!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

How neat! Glad to hear they have been well liked! You’re so welcome!

  8. Lynn

Thanks for the comments on the weight of these .. One of the reasons I love this site everyone is always willing to give a Review ..Thank you

  9. patricia

Thanks ordered another set to add to my fiesta rainbow that I bought last year with a similar deal that was posted and added ramekins too, since I got a free one last year and really like,so got 9 more to add to my collection 🙂

  10. Andrea

Does anyone have any extra Pottery Barn coupon codes?

  11. tracey

These don’t chip!! I have used this daily for 20 years. Not one chip on any pieces & I have 4 kids. I have broken 3 things that I totally dropped on the tile floor. that’s all. no chips. That’s why so many Mexican restaurants use them. And they are oven safe.

  12. Nina

These are definitely quality plates but are also much heavier n substantial then Corelle. I prefer Corelle bcus it’s light weight.

  13. jodi

Thank you so much. The final price though includes State Sales Tax, but still is a great deal.

  14. Lacey

My Corelle sets are both chipping the clear coat off the edges, pieces actually poke into my hands as I put them away and I have to pick them out. I have a round set that I have had for about 10 years and a square set for about 6. I am very disappointed with them, but am excited to find these to try! Would Kohls be the best place to buy these for a non card holder? Thanks!

  15. Karla

Collin, Thank you so much for informing us of these deals! I purchased my set when you posted the deal through bonton.com a few months back. I absolutely love these dishes and the colors are beautiful! Do you happen to know if bonton will be offering the $50 off $100 purchase again? That was an amazing price!

    • riss

Same here! I bought mine when it was posted here in July. I check bonton or Carson periodically for another sale. I just want dinner plates and maybe bowls. We don’t use cups and saucers. I started looking on ebay, but it’s still pricy.

      • Danielle

You can always order the 3 piece set of fiesta ware. No cups or mugs. It includes the dinner plate, salad plate and cereal bowls. With this deal, they are $17.05 per set.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You’re welcome Karla! Great to hear you have been pleased with your fiesta dinnerware! We will be sure to post if that Bon Ton promotion pops up again! 😉

  16. Laura

I’ve bought a bunch of plates, bowls, wine glasses at the Dollar Tree on different occasions and they are great! No chips and only $1 each! 😀👍🏻

  17. bbc

I love my Fiesta dinnerware, have 9 sets of all colors, but I tend to use my pretty floral and polka dot Corelle dishes for most meals. I love them both – but Fiesta is heavy and I mainly use it for dinner. But for those who say they will never use the mugs or saucer – we thought the same thing but they get used the most. Great dessert plates and plates for little kids who just want a pb sandwich, lol. This is an ok price, but I think I paid around 10 a set at black friday. I’m going to pass and wait for a better sale.
