I did that Oreo deal last week and didn’t get the Catalina from the register. I was still at the parking lot when I realized I didn’t get it. I knew something printed from the machine but don’t know why she didn’t hand it to me. So I went back inside and asked why I didn’t get it. She said ooppps sorry I threw it in the trash! I don’t understand why would she do that where in fact it belongs to me & I have a say whatever I would like to do with that Catalina. This happened to me twice long ago during the razor deal and it was the same lady. I called corporate & no resolution! I know it’s just a small amount but still a dollar wouldn’t be a dollar if there’s no penny!..I don’t shop @ Walgreens often for such reasons but I apologized, I just needed to vent. Thanks.

Maybe she planned on keeping it since this wasn’t the first time. You probably shoulda contacted the manager

A similar situation happened to me today. I rarely do RR deals at Walgreens but decided to do this one. After the transaction, I noticed a coupon printed but she didn’t give it to me. So I asked about the RR with that deal and she was confused. I motioned to the coupons and she said oh here you go. Had I not said anything, I never would have gotten the coupon. Frustrating.

Now that I have the RR, if I use it to buy another package of gummies, does that mean it won’t print out a RR since I used a RR as payment?

Thanks. Just want to use the RR and be done with it. Not worth the hassle in the future. But thanks for the deal idea Hip2Save staff!

I am surprise that corporate didn’t do anything, every time I called them they help fix the problem. Unless they tear it apart before throw it, it is against company policy, and the cashier will get fire by keeping RR for themselves.

How do people spend their RR? Seems like so much at Walgreens is over priced and they have so many restrictions on using coupons with RRs etc.

    • Kristy

I can usually find some deal to use it on within the 2 weeks before it expires. If not my hubby really likes the cinnamon hard candies. So if I can’t find anything I usually buy him some with my RR

So over Walgreens it’s always a fight using coupons if it’s clearance it seems my coupon won’t scan according to them, shouldn’t be a factor if it’s clearance management is not really any help they don’t take the time to figure things out! They say oh things keeps changing and we can’t take them if it beeps …

    • Nan

Agreed! I’ve had issues with RR’s not printing, merchandise out of stock, missing points, coupons that won’t scan, etc. Plus the deals just aren’t that great anymore. I’m using up my points balance and that’s it. Wasting too much time/energy shopping this store and coming away with nothing.

I don’t normally go to Walgreens, but I did the free 8×10 deal a few days ago so I need to pick those up. Is there a limit on how many transactions and bags of candy I get? What are the restrictions on spending register rewards?

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hi Bonnie! I am not finding a limit listed, be sure to do separate transactions if you are purchasing multiple bags in order to earn the Register Rewards. Also, you can find more information on Register Rewards here: https://hip2save.com/store-guides/walgreens/ Hope this helps!

I have a new guy at my store who always wants to throw away the printed register reward coupon too. I started going to the makeup counter to check out and that has been better.

  6. Mitsy

I had problems before with not receiving my RR. So I now before the clerk starts scanning, I show the RR deal in the ad and mention that I should be receiving a RR. So far, no problem getting the RR.

  7. Waltard

It seems to me that Walgreens employees have no right to throw away the customers rewards. It would seem to me that the rewards belong to the customer automatically as it prints for the customer. If CVS threw away my extra bucks we would have a problem. Luckily they haven’t ever done something like that to me.
I would definitely speak up at Walgreens for my reward. What is wrong with wags employees that they don’t understand or care how the program works🙄

  8. Mandy

My register reward didn’t print. After showing an employee and a manager that it was the same bag of candy in the ad, they said no, it wasn’t included. When I asked if I could return it and buy one that was included they said there’s nothing they can do about it. I know it’s just $2, but it’s so frustrating.

  9. Jonathon Chiri

Does anyone know this – if I have a $10 register reward, can I only use it on an item above $10, or can it be multiple items that add up to $10?

    • Shirley

Jonathon, You can use your $10 RR on one or more items as long as they add up to at least $10.00

  10. Jenny

Bought 1 bag No RR . no sign said get back $1.99 back. checked weekly AD didn’t see promotion.

  11. Lancey

Is this deal working in San Diego area? I can’t find it in the local ads. Thanks
