Is there a limit for how many bags of candy you can get for 50% off?

    • Kimberly (Stylish Sidekick)

HI Brenda! I’m not seeing a limit and you can use the eCoupon more than once as long as you meet the $10 minimum food purchase required each time. I hope this helps.

    Why can’t I have a Kroger?

    • Bev

Do you have a food4less? It works there too!

  3. Naomi

Do I have to spend $10 on Halloween food or can I buy any food for $10 to get the Halloween candy deal?

    • Pamela

You can buy $10.00 of anything. It also includes 50% off non candy items like treat bowls and placemats. It is 50% off the original price. I went tonight and got some great deals.

      • Pamela

I just noticed on my receipt that the 50% off was off the sale price. Yeah!

        • Paulina

Awesome! Does it include costumes by chance?

  4. Amanda

All the decorations were already 50% off, then another 50% off with digital coupon. Fog machine regular price $29.99 then 50% off sale $14.99 then 50% digital coupon $7.49. Lawn Inflatables regular price $49.99 paid $12.49 after coupon. Also the bags of candy were on sale 2/$5 plus 50% off coupon paid $2/2.50

  5. Richele

I got 11 bags of candy for $8.25.
They rang up the sale price 2/$5 ($27.50). After applying the 50% off I was down to$13.75 for the 11 bags. I was also able to use 3 paper coupons, totalling $5.50. So, my final price for 11 bags of Halloween candy dropped to $8.25… Just $0.75 a bag!!! Now I’m glad I missed there annual candy sale a few weeks ago.

    • Gina

So was your purchase All candy? Or did you do the $10 food plus the candy?

      • Mel

I have the same question. For example, Can I buy $12 of all candy and get the 50% off?

        • LF

I believe you have to buy 10 worth of food, then the candy. I’m planning on using the sat only e coupon for 2 off Pringles or 2 off family size cheezits. This is the Saturday 5x weekly offer.

        • Alli

I bought all bags of candy and nothing else, 50% off sale price came off all of them.

  6. Jill

May I ask what candies did u buy? Thanks in advance.

  7. Em

I’m confused from Collin’s post. It says restrictions on coupons use when doing this deal so how were u able to use 3 coupons and also I thought this deal starts tomorrow. Any help is much appreciated.

    • Shannon

They weren’t supposed to take the paper coupons. Sometimes my paper ones go through when I also have the digital coupon or the cashier pushes it through. I’m not trying to scam them or anything. I just forget what e coupons I have loaded on the card.

    • Pamela

The deal is from Oct.20th-Oct.22 with the coupon.

      • kim

My ecoupon says I could download it on the 20th BUT to be redeemed ibn the 21st and 22nd ONLY!

  8. saltshaker

    good deal

  9. Aditi Rana

are Halloween snack multipacks also included in this deal?

  10. Hannah

I’m also confused. From Collin’s post deal starts on Oct 21 til Oct 22.

    • kim

That’s what the coupon says too.

  11. Gina

So does the candy count towards the $10 required? Meaning I want to go get $30+ in candy will I still get 50% off the whole pruchase?

    • kim

      Yes

  12. Cc

It works I bought 220 dollars worth of candy I saved 141 bc most was on sale plus 50-% off and I only bought Halloween candy nothing else . Lady at my store gave me a problem checking out saying I had to buy 10 in groceries I said no lol

  13. DealAddict

The fine print does actually say you have to spend an additional $10 on groceries. Doesn’t matter to me because I can easily spend $10 on groceries and get an amazing deal on candy. This is fantastic! Thank you! I’m so excited about this. Now if I can only save that candy for trick-or-treaters and not eat it myself!!

  14. Terry

Don’t forget to stack paper coupons with the candy you are buying…makes it even a better deal!

    • Crystal

The fine print says no other coupons can be used.

  15. Kathy

Thank you H2S! I have been a lazy couponer this year and this makes up for it, at least for Halloween! I got the light-up “ghost dog” to put in the yard for $18, too (originally $60??).

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Oh good! You’re welcome Kathy! Great score!

  16. brandy turner

I bought four bags of candy for 1.20. I used two $2.00 coupons.

  17. Keila

We went to Kroger this morning and bought all kinds of Halloween decorations, table cloths, candy, and flowers bulbs from the floral dept.
(marked down, but NOT part of the 50% off of course), we saved well over $200!! To make this an even sweeter deal, my wife received a $50 Visa gift card from work, so we really only paid $43 out of pocket for what we bought! Thank you H2S for posting this! You gals are the best!

  18. mamato2

You can triple stack. Use a Fred Meyer or Kroger coupon, manufacturer coupon and then your rewards card. The secret is to give the cashier your rewards at the very end after all the paper coupons have been scanned. I learned that trick from one of the checkers, I go through her line every time I shop. I love it especially when you are buying an item on sale. You can save so much money.

    • yuliya porter

” This coupon also restricts you from using other digital or paper coupons with it.” I don’t think this is ethical to still try to use “tricks”. This deal is good enough without “tricks”

  19. Bethany

Man! I’m surprised at how well I did!

    I got 2x Butterfinger, 3x Hershey’s, 2x Mars.
Regular sized bags, all rang up $2.50.
Then it used my $1 e-coupon for the butterfingers, so then I tried my two paper coupons – $1.50 off 3 Hershey’s and a $2/2 peelie I found there for Mars – no problems!

    That’s $4.25 for 7 bags!!

  20. mamato2

The card doesn’t know that paper coupons have been used if the card is used last. It’s not unethical. I posted to let others know when they’re buying groceries not just for the candy deal.

    • K

It is unethical because the Kroger digital coupon is a manufacturer coupon, so you’re using 2 manufacturer coupons on one item.

  21. Crystal

I did this yesterday and i was able to get Halloween paper goods (napkins and plates) for .31. I also got a minion inflatable for 9.99 (originally 39.99). I also found a cute plastic caldron for $1.50 (originally 4.99). I found a tablecloth for 1.99 too!

  22. SJ

Just fyi you CAN use other coupons (paper or digital) I had several other candy coupons on my digital account (a few $1 off 2) and they also came off when my card was scanned.

  23. Lenard

Great website. A lot of useful info here. I’m sending it to several friends ans also sharing in delicious. And certainly, thanks for your sweat!
