Thank you for this monthly reminder. I have taken my daughter twice and we really enjoyed it!

Do they allow under 6 kids to participate? Does anyone know?

I think it depends on the store. In my experience with 4 kids, one store said no but another store allowed my 5year old without a problem.

Our store actually told us to alter the year of my son’s birthday when we were registering online (before he actually turned 6). He is actually 6 now, but he’s been doing the mini builds since he was 4.5. I get the impression they care more about if the child is able to stand around the table and follow instructions than their actual age.

We changed the age of my daughter on the registration form so she was able to build. She was a young 4 and we took her. She loves building things. She was doing 100 pc puzzles right before her 4th birthday. She is now 6 and legal for legos, she has a 4 year old brother who loves duplo. He is not ready for the small bricks yet. So we don’t waste anyone’s time with it. My oldest is 9 and gets help from her little sister. I think the age does not really matter as long as your child can do it. My store also does not care if you arrive at the exact time as long as you show up on the correct day during the free lego build hours.

YMMV by store. My store has been ok with kids under 6 building as long as they can work semi-independently, stay in their space and finish in the time slot. My oldest has been doing Lego builds since she was 4.5, now 7. My middle one is 4y and not quite ready, so we have been practicing at home 🙂

How strange. Last time you posted about the Free Lego Build, I registered days after and there were PLENTY of time slots open. Today I tried register and all the slots for both days are full. 😣

      Darn!
