Does this work for any veteran or do they already have to have an account???
If you’re a vet you just have to make an account and they verify it. Also I’m told if you had a star card then you’re in the system but I never did so don’t really know
I couldn’t find how to register a veteran. It says Honorably Discharged Vets while hospitalized or 100% disability but nothing about regular vets.
You’ll just need to create an account. In the creation process you’ll be asked for the Veteran’s Social Security Number. Their system is pretty fast (instantaneously in my husband’s case) on identifying Veterans by their SSN.
I found the problem. My husband is Viet vet and doesn’t use his SS number. I had to submit his DD214 and will hear in 2-3 business days.
