stop tempting me!!! I have the 8 qt and LOVE it!!! I use it almost daily, and this one looks great for when I just want to make something small. I’m tempted bc it would be even faster to come to pressure being so small!!! ahhhhhhhhh…. too many sales!!! Too many of my favorites!!

      Lol! 😉

I have an 8 and a 6QT and would love the smaller size!

I wish this was the bigger one … Maybe I’m being greedy and this one would work? Anyone have any suggestions? Family of 4 .. 2 adults.. 1 toddler and baby?

    • Alison

I would get at least the 6 quart. Many of the things I make in my instant pot our freezable. I often double batch and then eat half and freeze half.

      • coolrocks

        Good idea thanks

    • sheree

You should definitely get the 8 with that large of a family. I have an 8 and bought the 6 for additional items like vegetables, potato, rice. Remember, you can’t fill them to the top.

I’m holding out for the 5 quart at Walmart for $49 on Black Friday.

      Me too! 🙋🏼

Talk on the instant pot page is that the Wal-Mart one is last year’s Lux model and to hold out for the Duo.Also like a computer just spring for the larger one.I have a 6 now I want a 8 lol

Thanks ladies… I’ll hold out for the one at kohls and keep my fingers crossed that I can get it

Most recipes I’ve seen call for using at least the 6 qt

    • Debbie

Good to know! Thanks. I guess I’ll try to get the Kohl’s BF one.

  5. Debbie

What size do you think would be good for a family of 3? I’ve been debating if I should wait for the Walmart 5 qt or go with the Kohl’s 6 qt.

  6. Tosha

Does anyone knows if this one can switch to low pressure as well?
    Thanks!

    • sheree

I’m sure it can. It looks like it has all the same functions.

  7. Nina

Lol I agree Sara. This seems so good for small meals.

Oh interesting link! Didn’t even know a 10 in 1 existed! Definitely better

  12. Lenora

I seen 2 places had the larger 6 qt for $49.00. I’ll see if I can find it again. I think it was at home depot
