low carb dinner idea

I love salads for lunch because they are easy to customize with desired veggies and add ins. This simple dressing is very yummy and can also be customized by seasoning to taste. Next time I may add some cumin or Sriracha for spice! Yum.

I loved this salad for lunch!

Such an easy and satisfying meal idea that’s yummy even if you’re not eating low carb! This would be a great lunch idea to prep ahead and take to work during the week. If so, consider separating the marinated veggies/shrimp mixture and lettuce so the salad lasts longer.

I’m not on this diet, but I would totally eat that! Yum!

    • Lina D

      I know, right?!

  2. BlueHarvest

Looks awesome!! Thanks Lina. I would probably replace the radishes though. I just cannot develop a taste for them, but would like the crunch they provide 🙂

    • rob

Maybe replacing with red cabbage, I agree I’m iffy on radishes, I have to be in the mood for them.

      • Lina D

Great idea! Or maybe red onion? Thanks!

    • christi321

Maybe try Jicama or Kohlrabi, they both have the same sort of crunch without the heat.

    • tina

      I was thinking maybe cucumber.

      • tina

Now I feel like a dope. Obviously I didn’t ready it all the first time. 😂😂😂

      • Christine

I’m not on the keto diet either but I do try to reduce the carbs either way, I think the idea of adding the cucumber and red onions would be a great addition to this salad because I don’t do radishes, I keep avocado and red onions as a staple in my house, I basically have everything already except the lettuce, I plan on giving this a try this weekend

    • Rhonda

You should try radishes cooked in a roast or stew. They aren’t hot and they make a great replacement for potatoes. I was pleasantly surprised.

      • Mkw

Also tasty when sliced thin an stir-fried in butter

Quick question. How dp I input this on myfitnesspal?

    • NolaGirl

There’s a Recipe Nutrition Calculator on the MyFitnessPal web site https://www.myfitnesspal.com/recipe/calculator. I don’t think this function is available in the app. You could also try searching Recipe Nutrition Analyzer or Recipe Calorie Calculator to find other sites that may be useful.

    • NolaGirl

I entered it in MyFitnessPal under recipes as Keto Shrimp and Avocado Salad – Hip2Save. I’m not sure if its publicly accessible. FYI: The recipe clocks in at around 267 calories if MyFitnessPal’s calculations are correct. If you can’t find it, I posted a link and the screen shot of the nutritional data on my FB page https://www.facebook.com/CrescentCityCouponers/posts/1868252593248371.

Stop teasing me shrimp is my weakness.😄

  17. Kelly Edwards

I was wondering what the carb count was for this meal. Also, i’m not a fan of cilantro so if i don’t use that, does it affect the amount of carbs?

  18. Laura Lawrence

what is the nutrition break down for this
