Connect with Santa from home this Christmas! 🎅

After a year of socially distant Santa visits in 2020, many shopping malls, retailers, and other locations are once again offering face-to-face visits with the head elf himself.

If you live near a Bass Pro Shop or Cabela’s, these retailers are both taking reservations for in-person visits with Santa, including a FREE photo to take home with you! Head on over here to find a location and book a visit before Christmas!

Last year, many families opted to connect with Santa via phone or video chat due to COVID. While some children are eager to resume all the traditional lap-sitting and beard-pulling, other families have found that they really enjoy the convenience of chatting with Santa from home.

Thankfully, the North Pole has excellent WiFi and there are several virtual alternatives to traditional Santa visits again this year! For those families who would prefer to connect with Santa remotely, here are some of the options available to you in 2021…

Now through Thursday, December 24, Macy’s Santaland at Home will be available online seven days a week. Up to three children can participate in this FREE interactive experience at one time, and reservations are not needed.

Each visit includes a chance to share your wishlist with Santa and take a selfie with him. Visit Macy’s virtual Santaland to learn more!

Prefer an in-person visit? Macy’s is now accepting reservations for in-store visits with Santa at select locations. Head on over here to see if Santa will be at a Macy’s near you, and book your FREE reservation today!

We did this for our daughter when she was little (currently 11) and it was amazing. She was always worried she’d land on the naughty list (she never would in a million years, her brother is another story) an this was a quick way to ease that anxiety. Besides that the quality of the video was great. I’d send a copy to my parents so they could see it. My mon would always cry. A great freebie for sure. We upgraded but either way, a wonderful memory she still talks about.

You had me laughing about her brother! Sounds like my house. I’m glad this worked so well for you!

Another fun thing to do if you have a vehicle equipped with OnStar you can press the button on Christmas Eve and the live advisors can update your kids on Santa’s location around the globe. The advisors are great with the kids and make it fun for everyone. We usually put on pajamas and hop in the car in the driveway for an update.

      That’s so cool! Thanks, jules371!

Cabela’s Santa’s picture was amazing. So clean and easy. Glad I did it weeks ago before the mad dash of the season. If you can find a reservation, it’s a must

    • Irene (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for the tip, saver! We appreciate you!

  5. Laura

Worth mentioning; an app called PNP (Portable North Pole). You can create a free video and my son lights up when he sees it and is amazed!!

That’s a really good one, Laura! Thank you for the suggestion. 🙂
