Thank you! Thank you! I teach canning, so I go through a lot of jars. I was able to order multiple flats. Iโ€™ll be well supplied for my next few classes!

      • Jaime

Is this a good price? Would like to ban this summer?

      • Margaret B. Higgins

I teach both wather bath (high acid) and pressure canning (low acid) in CT. For me, this is a great price for this time of year. (But I have noticed that jar prices seem to be higher here than in some areas of the US.) There will usually be coupons in your local inserts, and specials in stores once local strawberries start to run. Itโ€™s a great skill and a wonderful hobby- good luck!

Thinking of ordering the smaller size to use in my sons class to make snow globes at their Christmas party. Anyone ever do this?

    • Becky

Also thought about snow globes and wondered how they would work.

    • Del

I have made snow globes in the classroom and usually use baby food jars. I can usually find someone who has them for free. If you want u can spray paint the lid too.

My local WalMart had an entire endcap filled with these pint sized (small mouth) jars this past weekend ($5). FYI, these were the only size/type advertised for $5.

Every year I make the sugared cranberries that Collin has posted and put them in mason jars with a pretty bow. It’s a great teacher/neighbor/coworker gift!

  8. Melissa

Thank you thank you. I need more of these jars because I put my smoothies in them to take to work.

If it’s any consolation, I think there are Ball/Kerr coupons coming out in next weekend’s Sunday coupon inserts.
